With a heavily debated final few spots, we have finally gotten our PR finished for the spring season here in LA. While there aren't many changes visible on just the list, players have definitely changed the way they play their game and are slowly catching up to the higher levels. The first recorded tournament is LUST VIII [Jan. 9] all the way up to SLAM [April 16]. With all that in mind, let's get to it.


Samsora
Rank: 1 (±0)
Main(s): Peach/Rosalina


When you only drop one set in state during this PR season, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Samsora is sitting safely in his 1st place ranking. Nobody outside of Captain Zack has given him a run for his money while he steamrolls through each bracket with his signature Peach and his destructive Rosalina. While not only completely dominating the state through each tournament that wasn't the same weekend as a track meet, he also had an astounding 9th place finish at TGC 7.

In between listening to Kpop and liking cringe pages on FB, Zack continues the Peach dominance as he also has only dropped one set to a player ranked below him (Brawlerg31 at Lust X) while also joining the $5.99 crew with his high pressure Bayonetta. As he continued to have strong performances throughout the season, Captain Zack was also picked up by the DMG crew. He also has strong OoS placings at TGC 6 &7 getting 17th and 13th respectively while also knocking Esam (2-0) into losers at the latter. Zack one day hopes to fully transition into a real life Bayonetta.


BrawlerG31
Rank: 3 (+2)
Main(s): Little Mac and Ryu

Ding Ding. Is there much else to say? Oh yeah, "DON'T AIRDODGE!" While reapping a mid-tier main with top-tier results as he KO Punches his way through the bracket. While having a a handful of losses, Brawlergg is positive or even with everyone he outranks and continues to place highly in each tournament he enters. Besides taking 10 stocks in crew battles and JV3'ing people in Loser's Semis, he continues to pour salt over each and everyone he plays. Regardless of the fact that he has not been able to travel out of state, Brawlerg31 shows us all that the shield button should only be pressed on the ground and that he deserves the #3 spot..

ATG | The Forkies
Rank: 4 (+3)
Main: Meta Knight

Forkies is climbing up the PR just like he climbs the MK ladder to the blastzone, landing himself a spot at #4. While bustering out at some OoS tournaments, Forkies continues to prove that he only needs one or two mistakes to seal a stock or even a game. When he isn't practicing his 10 mains, he rolls through everyone with his hidden main "Random" with his stellar neutral play amongst all characters. Once a hidden boss coming up at the end of last season, Forkies has cemented himself as a strong player and a stronger **** poster.

Creatious
Rank: 5 (+1)
Main: Rosalina
Secondary: Mario

Creatious continues the trend of ranks #3/4 as he moves up, being one of the most consistent players on the PR and finishes at #5 this season. It's possible he may lose the claim to Best Rosa LA to Samsora, he isn't to be slept on. Only dropping 1 set to players below him (BSP), Craig proves his worth on this PR. Even if he may be on a 5 second input delay IRL, his Rosa will catch your mistakes right away.

BSP
Rank: 6 (-2)
Mains: Pac Man and Mario

While slowly slipping down the PR from last season, BSP is still as calculated and forceful as last season. Unfortunate losses to those he used to dominate aided in his downfall. His negatives shouldn't be overstate as he still has done well for himself in state and out (17th finish at TGC 7). HIs mario is strange to say the least but that does mean it is any less robust than anyone elses'. Some say that for every time BSP claims Pac-man is low tier he hits people with his trampoline.

Jonathan (Champ)
Rank: 7 (+1)
Main(s): Luigi and Villager

Some say Jonathan is actually a robot, studying frame data and downloading knowledge about this game each night. In reality Jonathan is an exceedingly strong player who dominates matchups he has memorized, but falls short at unfamiliar ones. His luigi and villager show an extreme punish game and solid defense, but still falter in important moments. The future will tell us if he can continue to be one of the strong gate keepers of the PR or if he will still go to the bathroom between literally every set.

Captain Clutch
Rank: 8 (+1)
Main: Villager and Pikachu

While it is assumed that Captain Clutch is actually Chillager in disguise, in reality he just commands Villager( (& Pika) to prove his worth with some of the most consistent placings on the PR. While not having any wins for the players above him outside of 1 set with champ, Clutch can claim to be the wall that must be torn down to enter top 8 on this PR.

Ben
Rank: 9 (+2)
Main: Captain Falcon
Secondary: Cloud

The Blind Falcon himself has made his way into the real numbers this time. While only traveling out of his city from one Scion Monthly and SLAM (5th at both), Ben has proven himself by not dropping sets to anyone within his region and only losing to PR caliber when he travel'd out of his comfort zone. While lacking matches with many above him on the PR, he has proven that he isn't threaten'd by anyone of lesser skill. Justice is truly blind.


Axis
Rank: 10 (new)
Main(s): Marth/Greninja

Before going onto Axis, it must be noted how close of a race it was between axis and the Co-op. The commitee had to take into account each of their weekly results and heavily weigh each placing they had. With a vote of 4-2, Axis seals off the top 10 in Louisiana with his consistent placings and constant threat he proves himself to be to those higher on the PR. This is who to watch for next season, for sure. Also, don't ask for tips.


Co-op
Rank: Honorable Mention (New)
Main: Diddy
Secondary: Pikachu

While TOing almost (literally) every tournament he attends in LA, Co-op has secured an HM for this season. Due to subpar finishings at both Dibbz he attended and early losses in the season, he doesn't make the cut for #10. However, his Diddy is constantly bringing PR threats to last stock last hit in game 3/5 while putting on the pressure with his Pikachu as well.


JTC
Rank: Honorable Mention (New)
Main: King Dedede

JTC joins his doubles partner as the other HM on the PR. JTC proves that while D3 may indeed be low tier, JTC's mad skillz more than make up for it. JTC had very solid placings scattered around the season while dropping some random sets here and there (and sleeping in here and there). While his placings may not be perfect, his character still is as he continues to make waves and scare those ranked above him.


Brawlman1000

Main: Sonic

I wanted to add a quick note here for Bman1k. While he is still as a strong of a player as ever (placings over Brawlerg31 at Cyphacon), he has not been able to attend more than 2 tournaments in Louisiana while he has been attending school in Mississippi this season.
