Do you think his good points outway the bad?

Is it worth using him or going over to link who has more KO capabilities?

Wait, I thought Link can charge his spin attack too. The main difference I saw was that Toon Link's spin keeps them stuck in it for most of the attack, while Link's just knocks them away.

So he's basicly young link?

Also, his boomerang is not a gale boomerang and seems to have more range...

ive mained young link hardcore for years.
toon link looks to be slightly faster, and it
is yet to be seen weather or not the speed
increase on the dair is a blessing or a curse.
not having played it myself, i wouldnt know.
but from what ive seen, he looks like he has
the potential to be game-breakingly good.
the OP mentioned weak attackes and flys too easily
under bad things. these are not necisarily truely bad,
flying easy is easy to combat with smash DI or airdodge,
and his attacks arnt weak at all. having low knockback
is an incredible thing when it comes to conbos.
ANYWHO.
im stoked to play as him when brawl comes to canada.

All I have to say is that Toon Link is much better then the Young Link of Melee. He will be high or top tier when the time comes.

I agree. It's sort of annoying to hear that they're considered the same thing. Young Link are definitely going to be thrown off guard thinking they're dealing with the same physics and abilities. Toon Link is a lot faster, and lighter, so those who main him, such as myself, will need quite a bit of practice getting used to him.

when it comes down to it, tiers matter, but in comparison to skill, they are irrelevant. ive played at tournements and beaten some of the best top tier players in my province. yet ive also been beaten by some of the best low tier players. alot of what it comes down to is pure strategy. if your playing an opponent who knows your playstyle and you dont know theirs, the outcome of the match will reflect that.
the point is, tiers are decided by professional tourneys. depending on how good the character does in teh tournemant reflects how high they are on the tiers. i dont look to tiers to tell me whos a beter character. i look to the person playing the character.

Yeah Eggburt, you are right. Look at how good people become with characters like Bowser. 0_0 I personally could care less about the whole tier crap, I'll practice and become good.

exactly
practice only helps if its against people your own skill level or much better then you.
ive played against gimpyfish, and he 3 stocked me in a 4 stock match. kinda shameful, but it jsut goes to show how little tiers matter. know the strengths of your character, and use them to your full advantage
