Looking for Melee Smahers near Santa Ynez Valley!

Hi All,

I have had a lot of trouble honing my skills because the only time I get to practice against actual people is at school between classes. This isn't exactly terrible, but most of the time, the people don't even know what L-cancelling is and it forces me to get rusty.

I need someone near where I live that is interested in playing smash friday night or over the weekends.

So, if you live anywhere in the following:

Santa Ynez
Solvang
Los Olivos
Buellton
Even frikking Lompoc

Only about 45 minutes. I also go to school at SBCC, but I'm more interested in playing near my house on the weekends. So, I could conceivably play in SB after work on Friday, but over the weekends, I prefer to not drive to SB-.-

How often do you Santa Barbarians play on Fridays?

We play Saturdays at Smash Club.

And do you play EVERY Saturday? Or just some Saturdays.

Smash club is held every Saturday except for like dead week / finals week / etc. on UCSB Campus in Building 387 Room 104 from 6:30 PM to like whenever.

Let's say hypothetically I was free on a Friday and you are free too, can you give me the times you play at SBCC on Fridays?

I don't play smash at CC on Fridays. I only play smash on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm - 1:00pm (1 hour total each week...)

We would need to find a place to play after 5:00pm on Friday (after work) to play.

Hmmm. I think the best place for us to be able play on a Friday would be UCSB or some place that you are aware of. I have no set places to play. Is there a room or someone's house or something that you're aware of?

Well, that depends on how many people will be joining us. If it is just me, you, and dante, probably just one. Otherwise, maybe 2 or three. Did you have something in mind?

If it is just 1 TV, then maybe we can use the TV in the lounge in a dorm? But then we run into the risk of someone already using that TV. Even if we have our own TV, we run into the risk of someone already using that room.

Eh I'll just post it. It's 7336 Freeman pl. Goleta, ca 93117. There are two buses to take either 23 or 27 I believe. 23 is a little closer but dangerous bc you have to jay-walk the busy hollister and 27 is more frequent and safer but with a little longer, complicated walk.

Yeah, good idea Matthew. I think this thread should only be used for Melee smashers in the Santa Ynez area.
