I'm looking for good brawlers within the waco area to the Austin, FW, and Dallas areas. I'm looking for help with friendly matches so I can practice my skills and get better at brawl, so I need players to play, plus I wanna get to know some of the players out here in texas, cause I'm from the west coast area, but out here for school. I want to start entering tournaments and winning, but in order to do that I need people to practice with, so if your in the area please let me know so we setup on weekends a brawl practice sessions.

My brawl Name: Swaka
Main: Fox

Thanks. Yes, I do want to enter tournaments, but there's got to be people that are willing to just practice with me. I'm trying to do well using fox and that's going to take a lot of practice considering my average fox metagame and where he is rank at on the tier list.

There's not much of a Waco Scene. At least not that I'm aware of: some people are trying to revive it but I haven't seen them since the beginning of Brawl back when the scene first died.

the only way I think waco could be revived is by having someone that's a really damn good brawl player(s)/famous player(s) on this site start hosting tournaments down here. Oh that reminds me I'm having a small brawl tournament on my campus on the 30th, if you wanna partake in you can. it's not much, but I do know waco has hidden brawlers; its just a matter of bringing then out.

I've looked into that, but Waco doesn't have many suitable venue locations. You either have large venues that cost a lot of money (Colosseum, Lions rec center, Lansharx, etc), places that look great but don't lend out the place even if you talk to them ahead of time, or unsuitable places. The only place that could really work was Game Closet, but idk if he would be down for that. Shiken knew him IIRC, I'll see if he'll let us host tournaments. The 1 downside to it is that it's not really large enough to support that much OOC attendance: I remember last time people came down we were a bit pressed for room and only had 1 extra table despite an attendance that I think was under 20 people lol.

Oh word? What campus/what time? Money involved, or just a friendly tournament?
