Since a person shouldn't rely on other people to get them through every situation I will critique my own matches with you guys. Please tell me if I'm going in the right direction or if I'm full of **** .

Game 1

0:12- Attempted out of shield something or other failed because I started it during shield stun.
0:20- Ran too far away resulting in a failed tech chase.
0:23- FoD ftl
0:26- Should have shield grabbed. Not sure if I tried to and just got stuffed by the d tilt or something. Looks like I was in jumpsquat.
0:30- Should have shielded.
0:35- Bad habit. Should have seen my matches earlier that day. I usually play against a Ganondorf that falls for it every time.
0:42- PLATFOOOOORM!
0:52- Stupid taunt. Won't happen again...
1:00- Attempted out of shield something or other failed because I started it during shield stun.
1:19- Was supposed to be a pivot uair but failed. Would have been stuffed anyway I believe.
1:26- I'll learn to shield it one day.
1:29- Failed knee. Would have been shielded anyway.
1:25-1:37- Watching it back I had no reason to do that. Absolutely will not happen again.
1:52- PLATFOOOOORM!
1:59- PLATFOOOOORM!
2:20- Ran too far and panicked.
2:30- Bad habit. Got punished for it accordingly.
2:37- Dropped auto combo. I guess I got used to him doing hard away di.
2:42- PLATFOOOOORM! Well that was probably ill fated from the beginning since he teched. Should have bair'd.
2:48- Stupid stomp.
3:06- Bad time to try it especially after crouching for so long.

Game 2

0:26- A risky move but it paid off in this case.
0:40- Finally hit one. Still need to get out of that habit though.
1:46- Was supposed to be an uair. I need to work on my tech skill again I suppose. It happens quite a bit.
2:23- I honestly didn't see it coming. I did make a note of it for the future but it takes me a while to get used to it.
2:30- I suck at dropzones. At least I didn't suicide or get swatted.
2:58- Inexcusable. This happens mostly when I reverse up b while away from the stage a bit but there is no excuse for messing up something so simple. I'll work on it when I work on the rest of my tech skill.
3:12- That seems like a decent time to use raptor boost but at the time I was just panicking trying to make a hit happen so I can't give myself credit for it.

Game 3

0:26- That also looked like a good time to raptor boost. Didn't work though.
2:10- Terrible air dodge. I was panicking in a very stupid way.
2:18- I'm really doubtful that that knee should have connected. I consider myself lucky.
2:32- Another bad raptor boost.
2:56- Another lucky raptor boost.
3:28- Terrible air dodge. Panicking stupidly again.
3:32- That was an attempted tech.

Overall: I think I rely on shield too much against Sheik. I would also like to have some opinions on my opponent because I personally think I was getting away with some jank. I was basically only grabbing at any given time and landing most of them, along with spamming stomps. I need to get out of the habit of using raptor boost to punish whiffed aerials, I need to gain more control over my character, I need to work on my tech chasing and combos ( in that order), and I don't use nair and bair enough in this matchup. I can't seem to get in too many positions to use bair in matchups like this and Falco/Fox where I'm being heavily pressured or projectile spammed.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Also if anyone can tell me how to make sections collapsible I would appreciate it. This is quite a wall.

Yeah I started to work that in while I was playing. Worked a lot better than trying to time it right.

things to ask yourself before matches or even right now:
- what character am i playing and what should i do in the neutral game?
- what should i look out for while edge guarding said character?
etc . . .

That's something I definitely will take to mind. I know how to edgeguard her and I have known a long time I just wasn't doing it that day for some reason. As promised, I fixed that problem. My plan in neutral game, against Sheik at least, is to bait out an attack that I can punish and go from there. I haven't really found out a good way to do it yet though. I know I don't abuse my mobility in every way I can (all I was using it for really was to dash away out of tech chases) and I have had success using platforms, I just don't think about it I guess.

I appreciate all your input so far, even if it has been short and sweet. I believe I've seen drastic improvement already, which I guess isn't that special since I'm pretty bad right now. Please keep the suggestions coming.

JC your grabs
Uair him for doing stupid aerials all the time (all the time)
Practice not messing up so much

Are these friendlies that you recorded?
If so lower the quality to try and improve the framerate, these are a little hard to watch because it's so choppy

I thought I was JC grabbing. Wow I really need to start brushing up again. Also now that you mention it, I wasn't doing as many uairs as I thought. I'll get on that.

They were friendlies and almost always will be since we only have 4 players around here. It was our first time recording without the guy that owns the recording software there. Is it really that bad though? It just looks a little fuzzy on fullscreen to me but then again I saw them when they would skip like 3 seconds of video at a time. Somehow Youtube improved the quality lol.

I think I'm making great strides in this matchup. I haven't played against anyone else besides Sheik since the day I posted this (not on purpose mind you). Pulled off a nice 15-death combo Sunday with uair regrabs and recorded in bad quality. I'll be sure to post some better quality videos once I've been able to apply all the new things that I've learned as sort of an update thing.
