Legend of Zelda Looking for a Quiet Place

I, being the guy I am and having grown up with OoT, think of Song of Storms every time anyone at university gets a text message, since the default sound effect sounds so much like the first 3 main notes (skip to 0:07 for them).

As such, I would really like to have Song of Storms as my ringtone (since it's too long for a text) but I can't find a version that sounds right. Can anyone get me a version with just the afforementioned overnotes and the same sound as the one above?

I'd be willing to pay you in unused starpoints codes if need be.

First of all, what kind of phone do you have? Cause if you have an Android device, there is an app that searches ringtones, wallpapers and notification sounds for free and I recall seeing Song of Storms on there.

if all u need is an mp3 it's not too hard to dl the youtube and then use something like audacity to splice the part you want. if ur fone won't take mp3s that way u can try using phonezoo. I've never used it myself, but my roomate used to use it to get his own ringtones onto his phone.

An MP3 will do fine but I specificlly only want the notes that are played on the occarina in game, not the backing music. I don't want the actuall occarina version from the soundtrack though since that has a very different tone to it and it specifically needs that ringtone like quality that the occarina part of the linked version has.

I don't believe layers can be seperated out like that in audacity.

Sorry but I think you've failed to read the topic. I'm looking for a version that sounds right for a ring tone, not a version that has the right file format, since my phone takes MP3s.

I'm lead to believe that such a version is non-existant though so, if I provide the full set of OoT ocarina pieces, could someone recreate song of storms (the full thing, atleast to where it loops), with no backing, from them?

The starpoints offer is still out there and you're welcome to extra if you can make the finished product sound more like the regular windmill hut (minus backing).

I am nolonger expecting to find a ringtone version or even an ocarina version from OoT but I believe I can make said ocarina version myself if someone can provide the notes link actually plays. This requires a game rip since the OST recorded pieces don't match the played ones.

Ok, change of plan, I can record it myself but I need a quiet place where the background music is non-existant. The no music lost woods trick won't suffice since there's still a lot of bird noise.

Have you looked into hacking the ROM to turn off BGM?

/e: or to find otherwise inaccessible areas which may not have BGM?
