I've got about 4 guys who are pretty decent at Smash, we're in second year Engineering at UWO. We've got a house here that we're renting, so if you can pull together a few people we can host up some biweeklies.

For London smashers:

Previously all tournaments in the London area were held by Head2Head Games, a LAN gaming center on Dundas Street which is kind of downtown. These tournaments were of the very first tournaments for Southern Ontario players and helped build the community. These threads were some of the previous threads:

Notice that I've helped organize basically all of them.

As far as why people came to these tournaments, well truthfully it was to fight me since I was just about the only good London player. Even without that boost of interest contacting this game center is a good idea because they are experienced when running these tournaments. If you guys prefer you can talk to the game center through me because they may be more comfortable setting things up with me helping.

You guys will need to forge a community for yourselves though...
