Load discs from Homebrew Channel on Wii?

I have bootmii, so I can load Homebrew (and Project M) with just the gamecube controller.
But what can I do if I don't have batteries for the wii remote, but want to play Melee from the Wii? Is there a way to load the disc channel (or gamecube discs) from the Homebrew channel?
I'm sorry if this thread isn't in the right place.

Priiloader. It basically allows you to boot your Wii to homebrew channel (or another channel).

I've heard that there are other choices but I'm not sure on specifics. Though, if you find another way, I'd recommend it. From what I've heard Priiloader is apparently risky, I'm not sure why or even in what way.

Thanks, but do you know if it can specifically start discs or the disc channel? (it doesn't appear so)

I don't think so, but why would you want that? You can access all the important stuff from the homebrew menu so you no longer need to use a wiimote, isn't that the point?

Go to the Gecko Codes Thread sticky and look at the guide on that page. Download the tools and just ignore all the parts about getting codes to run. Just put the Gecko OS app on your SD card and it can boot discs.

Yeah sorry I didn't mean the Disc Channel per se, just the ability to load GC discs. Thanks for the advice you gave.

Hi. I have been trying to load GC discs without the use of a wiimote. I tried Priiloader to boot Homebrew Channel but I can't find my way. After reading this post I downloaded Gecko OS Mod from the Gecko Codes Thread you mention and I loaded it on the Wii, but still can't find an option to load the melee disc. If you could guide me through would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Nevermind! Seems like the version I downloaded was faulty. I downloaded the last version and it works perfectly! Thanks!
