The answer came one fateful day in the spring of 1999, when Super Smash Bros. was released in the US. Every day after preschool the boy took a bus to a local day care center. Among the other children, the new game had become a way of life. Your worth was determined by your skill in the arena, and everyone wanted to be the best.
