Little Cup Tourney

Well, those of you that played... I think it was Pokemon Stadium 2 are familiar with this, there's a Little cup tourney on gamefaqs tomorrow that I signed up for, with no ubers/evasion/item clauses. And the poke needs to be the lowest stage possible, and have more than 1 stage, and be level 5. SonicBoom and that one dragon move that does 40 damage are also banned.

Anyway, I was looking for some suggestions on this team:

how bout a dratini @ outrage with a choiceband

Eh, it would get a nice STAB, but Dratini's attack is also really low, the best I could hope for with the small amount of EV training I can get in is a 14 or 15 attack.

Only poke I could see putting dratini in for would be either meditite, but his attack of 24 is really nice, and I like skorupi's toxic spikes too much to drop him.

i suggest switching tailow with a better pogey

Yeah, but I actually like the Tailow <.< his ability and Facde both get damage bonuses when he's burned, plus that and Brave Bird both get STABs.

Personally, I'd give Clampearl the kick for a Happiny, or something else defensive, but meh. Possibly a deepseascale.

Unless I'm wrong Sitrus Berry restores 25% health? which in level 5 battles is about 5, and oran is 10.

Clampearl has the second best defense on my team, and average s.def, and I've yet to have Surf not one shot something, same with Tailow Facade actually. And I agree on the not doubling with moves on Sneasel, suppose I could put Brick break or something on it.

Life Orb probably is a good call on Scyther though. Thanks for the reply.

Possibly a CB or Muscle Band for Sneasel then, or keep the Oran berry.

I thought Sitrus Berries and Oran Berries restored NUMERIC amounts of HP, not percentages. Like Oran Berry restored 10 HP and Sitrus Berry restored 30 HP.

If you want to go through the trouble of breeding an Aipom with Last Resort at level 5, I'd do that. Give it Last Resort and a Choice Band, and let the ownage begin.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just read the Last Resort only works if you have four moves.

I thought so, too, but in the transfer from GBA to DS, the berry whent from #'s to %'s.

Well, I actually ended up winning. Scorupi, Clampearl, and Taillow were by far the most effective, though Scyther didn't do bad either. Thanks for all the help.
