With the game out for a week and a half, I felt it was overdue to have all the notable changes Kirby got, properly outlined in a thread that can clearly be looked up. Whether they're unique or universal, all changes Kirby is noted to have received are listed here. If a change in particular isn't 100% or solidly confirmed, it'll be noted as such. As new information comes up this will be updated accordingly. Information was gathered from various sources including the devoted players of the Kirby Discord and the SSBWiki:

Buffs:

  • Jab Finisher: 2% -> 3%
  • Dash Attack active frames: 9- 33~
  • Dash Attack has been changed back to the Burning attack from Melee.
    • It's now single hit, much stronger, safer on shield, comes out quicker (12 -> 9), and maintains momentum
  • Dash Attack damage: 10%/7%/4%
  • Up-Tilt reaches a bit further and has higher knockback, making it easier to combo into other moves.
  • U-Smash active: 14- -> 12
  • U-Smash FAF: 48 -> 46
  • U-Smash (late): 12%/11% -> 13%/12%
  • D-Smash sends horizontally now
  • F-Smash seems to go a bit further
  • Up-Air Landing Lag: 12 -> 7
  • Up-Air FAF: 40 -> 38
  • N-Air Landing Lag: 10 -> 6
  • N-Air FAF 73 -> 63
  • F-Air Landing Lag: 13 -> 8
  • F-Air's 3rd hit apparantly deals more knockback
  • B-Air Landing Lag: 17 -> 10
  • U-Air Landing Lag: 12 -> 7
  • D-Air Landing Lag: 17 -> 16
  • D-Air (Hits 1-5): 1% -> 1.3%
  • Ledge Attack intangibility: 1-17 -> 1-19
  • Ledge Attack: 7% -> 9%
  • Ledge Roll FAF: 50 -> 47 or 44
  • Inhale FAF: 73 -> 69
  • Swallow FAF 30 → 21
  • Can Inhale projectiles now. Small ones are eaten automatically while bigger ones can be spat out as Stars which do damage depending on what was Inhaled.
  • Copy abilities deal 1.2x damage compared to the original owner
  • Kirby can act quicker after discarding a Copy Ability.
  • Spit damage: 5% -> 6%
  • Side-B intangibility/invincibility: 6-15 (ground and air) NOTE: This may not actually be a thing.
    • Upon further testing it seems Grounded Stone's superarmor was improved! Now after a full charge swing you get superarmor from frame 11-17 which is up from frames 11-13 in SSB4.
  • Up-B ascending hitbox has been improved. Specifically: Up-B (Hit 1): 23-24 -> 23-25
  • Up-B landing FAF 35 -> 31
  • Up-B projectile 1-16 -> 1-18
  • Final Cutter's landing hitbox comes out before the opponent touches the ground. This means it can no longer be teched when landing onto the stage, making it more useful as an anti-air.
  • Run Speed: 1.57 -> 1.727
  • Air Speed: 0.8 -> 0.84
  • Walk Speed: 0.93 → 0.977
  • Spotdodge Intangibility: 3-17 -> 3-18
  • Airdodge Intangibility: 3-27 -> 3-29
  • Kirby's Jumpsquat is now quicker from Frame 4 -> 3

Nerfs:

  • Jab 1: 2% -> ~1.8%
  • Jab 2: 3% -> ~1.6%
  • Rapid Jab: 1% -> 0.2%
  • Dash Attack FAF is higher at an FAF of 60
  • Grab FAF: 28 -> 34 or 38
  • Dash Grab active: 8- -> 9-
  • Dash Grab FAF: 39 -> 42
  • Pummel: 1.55% -> 1%
  • Roll Forward intangibility: 4-17 -> 4-13
  • Roll Backward intangibility: 4-17 -> 5-14
  • Roll Backward FAF: 31 -> 36 Airdodge (directional and neutral) FAF higher, unsure by how much
  • Ledge Jump intangibility: 1-12 -> 1-10
  • Ledge Jump FAF: 13 -> 15
  • Ledge Roll intangibility: 1-24 -> 1-20 or 1-22
  • Up Tilt's higher knockback means it doesn't combo into itself as well now
  • Down-B no longer hits shields twice when done from the air, reducing shield break potential.
  • D-Air into Footstool no longer works
  • Copy Abilities are Apparently Lost More Easily (NOTE: One of our members extensively tested this in training and found no notable difference. Further analysis and a datamine is needed to conclusively confirm)
  • Upward Angled F-Smash deals less knockback

Others Changes:

  • F-Throw sends Kirby himself higher than in SSB4
    • This potentially makes followups into aerials more feasible at higher percents
    • This causes Kirby to land on platforms as low as Battlefield's lower ones, potentially ruining followups
  • Smash 4 Ledge Rolls might depend on which side they're done from (unconfirmed)
  • Directional airdodge snaps ledge from frame 35 onward
  • Directional airdodge intangibility: 3-22

Kirby’s F-smash seems to kill at lower percents, maybe sweet and sour spots have changed.
Can anyone confirm this?

&

F-Air is seems easier to approach with now.
