I have to say, I loved Greninja's moveset when 3DS first came out. Easily my favorite character.

I'm not sure if it was the nerfs or what though, I'm just not as good with him anymore. Still one of my better characters but I just kinda fell out of love with him.

Some notes:

From left to right.

Miis have customs, the rest don't.

Lucina, Marth, and Roy: Those three are fairly similar, and I ended up liking Lucina much more than Marth, which makes playing Marth somewhat redundant. Roy is in a similar position, although I feel like his playstyle differes enough to make him more interesting for me to play. If Lucina weren't in the game then I suspect both Marth and Roy would be a bit higher on the list. Fun fact: I never liked Marth much. In Melee I prefered Roy and in Brawl I just didn't play him much. I do like Lucina a lot, for some reason.

Dr. Mario, Falco, Link, Lucas, and Luigi: These clones/semi-clones would be higher on the list if Mario, Fox, Toon Link, and Ness weren't in the game. Luigi plays differently enough from Mario to still be really fun for me to play, although he'd probably be top 10 if Mario weren't in the game.

Sheik, Fox, Marth: I actually disliked those characters in Melee since they were so overplayed. That dislike carried over to Brawl, so I didn't play them much there either. Now I've actually picked them up (Lucina instead of Marth), Sheik and Fox because I liked their customs (I now play with customs off though), Lucina because she's not Marth. Not quite sure if I would've picked up Marth if Lucina weren't around, although I might have, since he's not as OP as in Melee anyway.

Olimar: In Brawl, Olimar was top 10 for me. In Smash 4 some of his moves feel very different to me (could be placebo, but both down-smash and his grab seem different/weaker), thus making him less fun to play.

Edit:

I updated and revamped the list a bit. Some of the changes: Captain Falcon moved up a lot, from bottom of Decent to 18th overall. Bayonetta moved down 3 spots, Luigi 5 spots, Pac-Man 3 spots, Ganondorf 7 spots, Pit/DP 3 spots. Greninja moved up 4 spots, Palutena 2 spots (well, technically 1 less for those two, since Captain Falcon moved up so much). And lots of characters technically moving down 1 spot due to Captain Falcon moving up so much. I might've missed some changes too, not too important anyway.
