Can anyone tell me (or direct me to) the differences from the offline to online version.

I've watched a lot of videos online and it seems there are notable differences in recovery times on certain characters, among some other things.

I'd love to start with the emulator, but if it's an entirely different game altogether i'll stick with my dream of creating LIVE SSB64 Cash Tournaments...I just made the facebook group but I doubt I'm aloud to post it seeing as this is my first post... :ohwell::)

Anyway, thanks in advance.

They are exactly the same, only that sometimes there is lag on smash online, and graphics differences between them are due to the video plugin which isn't 100 % fully developed on the emulator.

online and offline are exactly the same for game play, the real diffrances

Input delay- if your really god at console youll notice this right away
Lag- duh? onlnie anythign can lag
Asshats- the community sucks

p.s.: the graphics dont change anything ...some things are flat but that doesnt change the game play at all

One difference I notice is that whenever you drill someone on console, the game lags a bit, which isn't there on the emulator.

Weird...

Cause i've seen movies on DI in ssb64...and we tried this;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3nJT_NpGP4

set it up exactly and time and time again couldn't get it to work...even after reading the thread on DI...

We also tried it with Ness' uA move and to no avail...

Any ideas?? The only thing i could think of is our controllers have some wear on them but i doubt that would do it...

That movie is of perfect DI. There's literally no way you can do it like that, unless you slow it down to a frame-by-frame speed.

ah, bingo. overlooked something so simple.

well if that is you in the video...i do believe i saw another video of you being link (i can't find it right now) and this baffled me as well.

you were thrown off the edge -> pulled out a bomb -> up-b -> threw the bomb to hit yourself -> up-b again.

(unless i'm just mistaken and the bomb was already drawn before you got hit off)

is that possible? to pull out a bomb mid flight, and 'detonated' on yourself by hitting it, etc?

ps. make a trip to alberta...we need more real smash64 talent...everyone seems to have lost the art of the original game

SuperBoomFan is a great SSB64 player, and he lives in Alberta.

It is possible to take out a bomb in mid-air, and hit yourself without. I'm no Link expert, so I'm afraid I don't know how to do it. But I have seen it being done, it's definately possible.

Throw the bomb down (not fast) and bair... it's only saved me at high percentages though, and it turns you around so you can't grab the edge... but it's awesome for taking away your opponents kill

you dont need to be a Link expert to take out a bomb mid-air , the tricky part is to hit yourself with it , i think malva explained it in another post , if i can find it

nvm marioreincarnate found it
