Match-up #2 Pikachu

Link vs Pikachu
40:60 Pikachu

The electric rodent can be a handful for Link, but Link can win this if he knows what to do. Pikachu has two chain grabs on Link, Fthrow and Dthrow. His Fthrow will deal 30-40% while his Dthrow will deal 40%, Pikachu will try the Fthrow chain grab since it puts us off stage, while doing nearly the same amount of damage. You can play a camp war with Pikachu since all of Link's projectiles will cancel out his Thunder bolt, except for our bombs which will eat his thunder bolt without exploding. Link can out camp Pikachu, but it won't matter much since Pikachu will try to get in close more than play a camp game.

Fighting Pikachu in the air is a bad idea. We may have more range but he can get in on us much better in air than we can on him. Pikachu's killers are Thunder, Fsmash, and Dsmash. Thunder can be avoided if you don't go high on the stage, Fsmash can be seen if your careful so you should be able to shield that, and his Dsmash can be SDI out of. Learning how to DI helps.

Pikachu has an advanced tactic called Quick attack Cancel, he can use his Up-B and immediately go into another attack. If he tries to QAC through you, jab. It should hit Pikachu out of his QAC. He can do this from long distance so be cautious of this. Pikachu can edge guard you well, Thunder will force you to eat % to get to the ledge. His Nair will guarantee you won't be recovering if Pikachu sweet spots it.

For stages go to Norfair and Battlefield.
Important posts:

Pikachu main(s):
Most people probably already know but you can SDI out of Pikachu's D- Smash. It helps IMO .
Projectile and stage point:
Not really, We can arc ours over his, clash with his, and our bombs just erase them.

We can camp Pikachu, but he can still get in on us. He's light so early kills can happen for us.

For stages I like Norfair and battlefield. Other than that I can't think of much else to say.
