Well, I actually think it fits the HW theme. Don't know why, but that's just me.Am I the only one who didn't like Hyrule Warriors' OST? I never felt rock really fit the Zelda tone, and it....How do I put, it tries way too hard? lol
Agreed. Can we please leave the butt rock to the sonic franchise?Am I the only one who didn't like Hyrule Warriors' OST? I never felt rock really fit the Zelda tone, and it....How do I put, it tries way too hard? lol
HW is something you've talked about more than most things and you still haven't played it? lolWell, I actually think it fits the HW theme. Don't know why, but that's just me.
Speaking of HW, I can't wait to finally be able to play it next week!
Remake HYPE!!!!All of you are wrong...
Obviously One Winged Angel is the greatest Zelda song ever.

Well, cause if has Young LinkHW is something you've talked about more than most things and you still haven't played it? lol
You have quite the obsession with Young Link, o' unknown one.Well, cause if has Young LinkView attachment 64806
They have a word for that.HWs soundtrack was a copy and make rock music paste of the originals. Not a bad idea, but not fitting the Zelda spirit.
Yeah, I don't know why XD. Just some about him I Iike more than most characters (include the other Links). It was definitely something about him in Melee that made me like him so much. You have quite the obsession with Young Link, o' unknown one.
For glory has no competitive value. It's laggy wifi vs random players. FG does have a lot of spamming because it's hard to shield or do anything better in lag.text
You know when you're dealing with a true Spammer Link or a true Zoner Link. In general, due to Link's large array of ranged tools at his disposal, Link is a mid-range zoner. As a Spammer Link will go to the edge of the stage and try to shoot as many projectiles as possible until he has to roll to the other side. Zoner Link's still play defensively since Link is a defensive character overall. The difference being Zoner Link will try to stay at a perfect mid-ranged distance from the opponent until he can find an opening.
FG scrubs dont know the difference because they think their "superior" Little Mac should be winning every match... When they lose to Zoners like Link they get upset and call him a spammer due to their mindset that it's "dishonorable" to use or even have any projectiles in a match.
This, again, is because they are mindless idiots.
Couldn't have set it better myself. For glory has no competitive value. It's laggy wifi vs random players. FG does have a lot of spamming because it's hard to shield or do anything better in lag.
Spamming is repeating the same action (often with rolls in between) and hoping it's too laggy and/or the opponent is too scrubby to deal with it. Zoning is spacing the opponent strategically and adapting to their actions. For example, Marth zones by keeping opponents at the tip of his sword and moving in a way he won't get shield grabbed. Marth continuously adjusts to the best spacing and takes opportunities to punish openings in the safest way possible. Marth spams by repeatedly Fsmashing in the opponent's general direction and hopping it hits. There is a big difference.
Welcome.Howdy ya'll! Over on the Smash 4 discussion page on facebook, myself and others were talking about the terms "spamming" vs. "Zoning". Unfortunately, the conversation devolved before we could get a decent answer. The smash dictionary Foxy put up defines spamming as "To use a lot of a particular move or moves, e.g. projectiles, a particular aerial, etc.", while zoning is said to be "Using your attacks and the threat of your attacks to limit your opponent's available movement options".
Because I am lazy, I figured I'd copy some of my dialogue onto here to spark a discussion with ya'll: "It appears there's a disagreement between the proper terms for using projectiles. If used excessively, it appears to become the term "spamming", while using in a methodical way is known as "zoning". The issue that arises, however, is that there is no definitive line between the two terms. When does proper zoning become spamming? Should all "spammy" characters not utilize projectiles, for fear of being known as a "spamscruboverlord" on FG?"
And another quote from myself: "The answer, imho, depends on what character the player uses. If they use a rushdown, or CQC only character, the player rationalizes that the use of projectiles in (seemingly virtually) any amount is "spamming". However, players that main projectile heavy characters argue that their characters are much weaker/slower/ have less options than CQC heavy characters. I hypothesize that there will always be disagreement between the two camps on the use of projectiles... Sad, but that's the only thing I can see happening."
So... Thoughts? I apologize for the wall of text; it's my first post on the Link boards, so I got a little type-happy.
I have a funny story.
Yesterday I met the manliest of all houseflies. You see, I woke up literally unable to straighten my back or move my left arm more than 45 degrees. So I went to work like normal, because **** happens. At work there was a mishap involving the left side of my body which caused me to inhale a housefly. He was just sort of in the air I decided to inhale in lieu of yelling the word "****" at the top of my lungs.
Unlike these boards, which seem content to just roll over and die, this fly manned up and tried to choke me. He actually ****ing tried. Why can't you? Why do there exist houseflies with more conviction and will to exist than these boards? If you are now, or plan to in future, feed the cancer that is trying to turn this board into a carebear daycare center, how about you line up now? I'll go get my paddle.
Really. It'll be so very fun.
If any of you need an explanation, feel free to PM me, I'll be happy to explain in private why you've disappointed me so.
Edit: and with that, I am off to work again. Try not to disappoint Uncle Shin again, hm?
I'd say a trip to the shed is more than warrantedSo you're saying that if this social thread becomes even more Carebear quality, you'll paddle us?
In lieu of this situation, I dub this song the OFFICIAL Link Boards theme song. May this remain with you forever.
There you go. Now ****ing spank me.
Nah. Uncle Shin knows I love that place. The toys in there are fun.I'd say a trip to the shed is more than warranted
I laughed, but that definitely became far more Toon Link than I was expecting....I dub this song the OFFICIAL Link Boards theme song...
Sweet Heaven, that's like freebasing the 80s.Watch Miami Connection though, it's about a tae-kwon-do practicing rock band facing off against a group of cocaine-dealing biker ninjas (yes, srs). It's the funniest film I've ever seen.
Its tomorrow. Is anyone playing Smash right now? I want to know if there was actually a patch, so a Replay check should be enough.
Have you heard of,It's so '80s. You can see in the video I posted that the "rock band" doesn't even actually have guitars in their song, it's all synthesizers -- so the guys are play-backing on electric guitars to a song that doesn't even have electric guitars. Then there's he Asian guy (who is also the director) who is just jumping around waving his hand vaguely in front of the guitar -- possibly the worst fake guitar playing in history.
Wow lol I need to watch that.Have you heard of,
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
because it's pretty damn ridiculous too.
The main dude is a neurosurgeon, physicist, race car driver, hero, and rock star and basically begins a galactic war with an alien race from the 8th dimension.
It's like the black tar heroine of 80s stuff.
But...but...it's 1 AM here... god damn time zones. Its tomorrow.
haha you're welcome.Wow lol I need to watch that.
