Samus's best position? I've been playing around with it recently (because of falco's **** lasers) and it seems like shes better from the edge in brawl than she was in melee. Of course it might be that my friends don't handle the situation very well, but I found that you can pretty much spend most of the match on the edge and eventually frustrate your opponent to the point that they make a mistake that you can capitalize on. Has anyone else been experimenting with her edge game? What do you think about it?

I definitely have been experimenting a lot with it. I've been frustrating my friends and brother quite a bit with my edge game, and I'm now currently testing a little somethin' on Final Destination.

Drop>Walljump>bair

Only tried it twice while playing competitively, if they were a tad closer to the edge I would've hit them so I'm not sure if this works well or not. I definitely like her edge game a lot though.

The ledge drop to WJ > bair is so fun on FD. I rarely use it on actual people, but when I'm just messing around vs. an AI, I do it all the time. Samus' game on the edge is definitely upped due to the auto ledgegrab in brawl and the autosweet spot with zair.

I don't go for the edge to take on their approach though, only if I'm forced into it. Ledgehop to zair or fair > upb work really well (fair > upb a lot more than in melee imo). Any of Samus' moves ledgehopped are seemingly good though.

Do you guys remember dair's weird hitbox in melee? It could hit below her as well as her sides in melee. The same concept is here in brawl except the hit box sort of reaches farther than her arm. Remember how ledge hopped dairs almost never spiked in melee? They seem to work very well in brawl despite auto-sweetspots. It seems to hit people right before they sweetspot if you time it right. A very useful manuver indeed.

I love her edge game. I just recently started to play around with it. Spamming misiles or zair from the edge to annoy them until they make a mistake and jump off the edge after you then finishing with bair or dair works nicely for me.

On FD: drop to wall jump to up-b to grabbing edge is an amazing mind game..

it can be done really quick.

On Smashville: drop into instant down-b, jump, then up-b as you move across the bottom of the stage. this allows you to grab the other side of the stage, which can be used occasionally as a mind game.

The same can be done on Battlefield, but dropping two bombs first, then a jump, then followed with up b.
