One question for the masses.

from hanging on the edge, how do people go into a jump and attack instantaneously?

push the opposite direction your facing to slowly fall down, then jump quickly towards the stage and you should do a spinning jump over the edge. if your doing a sort of back flip over the edge your doing it wrong. although it does work, you dont go as far over the edge.

It's a ledgehop.

As JonaDiaper mentioned, the best way to do it with C.Falcon is to tap away from the ledge, then do second jump and hold toward it.

You can tap down, but I recommend against it with Falcon since he's already a fastfaller.

I suggest you try getting the ledgehop onto the stage down at first, then try mixing attacks like the knee into it once you have the hang of it.

You can ledgehop with any character, so keep that in mind when playing as other characters and playing against other people.

 

[Switchblades]

Just keep in mind, should you try it with Ganon, ledge hopping can be difficult.
