Let's Pimp Smashboards Project ***Looking for a team of artists/web-designers***

Here's the basic idea of the project:
Every time i reply to a private message I notice that crummy outline around the "reply" button, the outlines of the animations are sad, the layout is honestly pretty boring.
That being said, if it is possible to do so, I suggest that we select a team of SWF artists to make skins, fix the buttons and animations, add to those animations, and do everything we can to make Smash World Forums a more presentable place. I'm not insulting the designers or anything, but when you're posting a reply to this message, look below the text box you're typing in and look at those smiley faces, and consider it.

Okay mods/admins, please post with approval, refusal, or if it's impossible say so.

Although I am not an Admin or Moderator, I will go ahead and say this.

There are multiple skins for this website. Many are old, or so I understand it that way. If you wish to see a different layout, simply change the skin. I also recall skimming through the Q&A in the PRoom, and seeing a suggestion to change or edit the smileys. The answer was, if memory serves, a flat out no. I'm sure this skin and those smileys have toiled for SWF since it was made, they shouldn't be removed or changed. The connections between user and smiley are deep, this is evident in instances such as the Pokemon smileys being used, or the classic mad face being used. If you are referring to the skin 'Revolution', then I can see why some may see it as boring, but I prefer to look at it as proffesional. I visit other websites, and they have pictures of random stuff everywhere, not the sleek, cool looking skin. This is all opinion, sure, but I'm quite positive that many people feel this way.

Also, I hear somewhere that there will be a new skin released somewhat soon.

I use classic blue, but still more variety would be awesome. and i dont mean changing those smileys, I mean editing them so they dont have nasty outlines.
the one i used in the title of this message is a good example. so its not so much revamping as it is touching up.

I'd love to see that actually. It'd be nice to have more skin choices, and they're some slick artists on this site. I'm sure Azua//KK would be hip enough to allow it.

even though i doubt this will be possible, it's possible they accept the idea also so Im not dismissing it, but you could send it to a mod you think could carry the message or someone like that, not just any mod though

And I think with the new (hopefully soon) Vbulletin update their should be more skins, if i understood correctly.

a social group wont recruit it will only be a place to discuss this. with that being said i think a social group is superfluous because this thread shares the same purpose and has a higher chnce of drawing attention.

It'd have to be an admin, not a mod. If you post this in the suggestion thread in the pool room, you could probably get a definite answer.

Mods only watch over certain rooms and keep everything organized and smoothly run. Admins are the ones who actually work on the site itself, aside from moderating.

So you'll have to get an answer for KK, Azua, or Buzz. (I may have forgotten a few others though.)

I was lucky I was one of the earlier ones. I heard mods like McFox were ballin' about it. Whenever you visited a mod's profile, you were bound to find a request on their wall. Kinda funny.
