Look at it as an algebraic expression.
AEM = a times e times m

Now we just gotta figure out what the variables stand for.
Shouldn't be too hard.

Uhh... If I recall correctly, in the slope formula, m is slope, and in the pathagoreum theorum (I know I spelled that wrong) a is one of the sides of the triangle. So what's e?
