Ledgehopped Dair to ledgehog, using up-B

So, it seems like a lot of Marth players, after ledgehopping a dair, land on the stage. Sometimes, I think that it would be better to just regrab the edge after the dair, in case you missed and want to ledgehog. The problem with that is that the lag after the dair prevents you from grabbing the ledge, so if you tried to, you would just fall past it. A couple days ago, I found out that you can regrab if you mash up-B while falling past the ledge. If you do it fast enough, the dolphin slash doesn't come out at all, and it just lifts you up high enough to grab the ledge.

I wish I had some sort of recording device, so I could show you, but I don't. The easiest way to do it is on yoshi's island (brawl), because you can't get stuck under the stage there (you can do it on other stages, it's just harder). Just ledgehop a dair, and, while falling past the ledge, mash up-B. If the dolphin slash comes out, and you shoot past the ledge, it means you did it too slow, or were too far away from the edge.

If this was already known, then I apologize for recycling information. Still, people should use it more than they do. If it wasn't, then yay, I discovered an AT :)

I wouldn't call it a AT, it'd be more of a tactic.

It also sounds like a risky one if you have to mash up-B, what happens if they grab the edge first? Can you still land on the stage?

While edge hopping you should know the timing with dair to use with your momentum, getting back to the stage wouldn't be a problem as I see it.

ok, I just think it's interesting.

Yeah, if you DI over you land on the stage, which is what most people do. There's a pretty big window to decide which you want to do. And if they grab before you, then you just up-B to the stage.
