Last Stock Legends, an eSports content production team, has released the fifth episode of its crowdfunded Super Smash Bros. Melee documentary series.
Like previous episodes in the series, 'Dr. Peepee vs Hungrybox' takes a classic moment in Melee history and retells it from perspective of key people involved. This episode's 'moment' is the match between Kevin "PPMD" Nanney (formerly Dr. Peepee) and Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma at 2013's The Big House 3.
Hungrybox and PPMD were considered to be of nearly the same skill level at the time. The match was the tournament's lower bracket finals; this meant that the loser would be eliminated at third place. As such, the stakes were high.
"Sometimes, you need an x-factor," said Last Stock Legends executive producer Wynton "Prog" Smith in a press release. "When you’ve gone down to the bottom of the barrel and can’t find anything there, sometimes you have to find something outside of yourself. Find out how Hungrybox was able to strike back when some thought that Dr. PP had him figured out.”
This episode is the fifth in a series of eight episodes. The series will be ending in February with an episode entitled 'Bach'.
