To me it seems like knowing everything about the game is going to kind of spoil it in some way.

There is already enough for me to want to buy it and enough for me to get excited about it.

There wasn't this kind of thing for Melee, and I liked when it was like "New Challanger Approaching". And also not knowing when those things were going to come up.

So I guess my question is, who wants to know everything?
Who thinks they already have enough?
And who thinks that they've already given out too much?

I'd do a vote thing, but I'm a noob. (Help would be nice)

And even if you know everything, this game will surprise you like none befor! XD

P.S.

Are all the charecters that were on the Dojo as Challenger Approaching unlockables? If so, God **** it! That's two much if a spoiler for me >.>

Why not know everything?
It was great. I went to a friend's house to play melee the first time before I bought it and...
he had all the characters and stages.
But still, it doesn't matter to me because then you know exactly what you are working for and if you somehow mess up in the fight with a brand new character, then you know exactly what to do the next time to get them.
Bah, I rambled.

I don't like being spoiled everything before I even get the game. But, I also succum to **** Dojo's updates. In Melee I was excited to see "NEW CHALLENGER APPEARING", and I'm like "Ohhhh who is it?!?", then I whoop them and unlock them. Very awesome indeed. Of course, Eventually I'm going to look for cheat codes after a week of playing, so i'll be spoiled everything anyway.

There's 23 characters so far out of the predicted 40. Two of the characters are actually one and the same (Samus/ZS-Samus) and 2 of the characters are third party which must have the "hidden" status. So that "could" be a starting cast of 20.

If you take the combination of all the Brawl newcomers with the melee roster, you get 36 characters.

They have yet to reveal any character that was previously a hidden character (even Ness and C. Falcon).

So you ask if they've revealed any hidden characters. Well Sonic and Snake are hidden for sure, but it could be debatable that some of the newcomers will be hidden. It really wouldn't make since to have all the new characters to start with and then have to unlock most of the older characters like Luigi and Jigglypuff.

I don't want to know the full roster, the storyline, or know all the stages before it comes out, but I really can't keep myself from the updates. I already have it planned out, though. When the game comes out in Japan (Jan 24th), I will use parental controls to block the DOJO and Smashboards to prevent spoilers, If the roster wasn't already revealed by then.

Number of threads about the same stuff: OVER 9000!!!!!!! There's a lot of threads about this, really.

Anyways, as they've said, it's irresistable. You die a little inside if you don't follow the updates :p

Dojo updates have helped my social life... seriously.

the whole reason I get up early in the morning is to check the days update; because of that, I get to school earlier, and then hang out with people, talk about said update, and in turn make some new friends. :D

so yeah, knowing stuff is cool; because then I have stuff to talk about.

For certain games I don't wanna know anything about them until I play them, but for Smash Bros.? The only thing I care about being spoiled is the SSE storyline, beyond that smash bros. is a game you play not experience (if that makes sense, oh well it does to me :psycho:)

Meh, I guess I don't mind knowing everything. If everything is going to be revealed by the release date, then so be it. I *don't* think it will though.

I'm not one to hit up strategy guides or walkthroughs to complete most games, that's the kind of thing that spoils a game for me.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is, you pretty much have to cut your use of the internet off or stay away from the Dojo, Smash World, and any serious video game site in order to stay spoiler free from this date forward. That doesn't seem fun, that just seems stressful.

Back in the day, my internet connection wasn't so great, and thus, I never was really exposed to spoilers. It's the times, mang.

I rationalize it two ways. First, just because I know a character is there doesn't mean I know how to unlock them, nor does it mean I won't be surprised as hell when I did. Actually, looking back on it, I was more surprised that I did something to unlock a character than the character itself except for a few instances.

Second, even though Sakurai reveals a lot, it's far from everything. We'd never know Bowser can control his flame if it wasn't for E4, for example. And honestly, it's all the little things that you end up discovering that make it worth it.
