Do we have a knockback formula for Smash 4 yet? I know that there is one that has been used in both Melee and Brawl, but it seems to yield inconsistent results. For context, over at the Jiggly forums we are trying to find when each character will die to rest, but the formula that has been used in previous games appears not to be consistent with the results we have now.

Also, is there any knowledge as to how rage is calculated? According to ssbwiki, we know that it scales to 1.15x knockback, but do we know when it reaches that and at what rate?

This is specifically for our Jigglypuff Rest project, but I feel like it applies to other areas as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

According to Thinkaman the Brawl formula is accurate. Considering his excellent knowledge of the game's physics and his work calculating KO %s for moves using Dantarion's data dumps, I'd believe him.

Bear in mind that bouncing off a surface reduces knockback. Thinkaman seems to be using 80% (a 20% decrease) in his KO % calculations. This would apply to down throws or meteors/spikes against grounded opponents. Also, vertical knockback is adjusted according to the character's gravity, so if you don't take that into account you'll get inconsistent results.

Based on the Rage effect thread rage starts to kick in noticeably around 50% and maxes out around 150%.
