Not that there's anything wrong with Kirby, but isn't he.... alittle too strong in the original?

it already is a worthless move. You know how when you hit someone with the down swing (with Final Cutter/UpB) that they don't really go anywhere and can usually get out? Providing it as almost a "false" spike. Well if it was more like the first one (ssb64 UpB) than they can't just jump out at will and it can actually be used either to spike off the edge and/or to pull people down into the projectile.say t!mmy, what do you mean by they can break the combo that would make it a worthless move?
I think if the hammer was just like in melee but didn't make him rise or momentum change (more like the new Brawl air dodge) than it would've been an AMAZING move. But now it looks like it'll be good to.Yes, Kirby does look stronger in the videos. Which is a good thing, since Sakurai promised a more balanced cast. And Kirby was horribly weak and unusable in Melee.
And I love the way he uses his Hammer midair. Better than juggling enemies around.
Nah...they all kinda were in their own little ways. Not that there's anything wrong with Kirby, but isn't he.... alittle too strong in the original?
Just from that 1 minute and 46 seconds worth of video, I can tell that Kirby is better. He seems more agile, it looks as though he's a bit heavier than the last game, his moves are faster, and he just seems better all around. But then again, this is just an analysis, and only time will tell how much better he is.

Honestly that's all I'm really hoping for, I don't want kirby to be super strong (I.E. SSB64) but obviously he needs a tune-up after how badly he was nerfed in Melee. I just want Kirby to have a chance to shine tier-wise, and to just be a fun character to play.Um, it is true that Kirby definitely looks faster and stronger when comparing him to his melee form, but this game is not melee. It's new. Judging from all the videos I've watched, every character that had a serious lack in melee seems to be faster and more effective as well. Even characters like Peach seem to have more efficiency when it comes to the flow of moves. Yea Kirby appears to be stronger, but relatively speaking to the appearance of the other character's attributes, that doesn’t seem to mean that much. If anything it indicates a closer overall balance between the entire cast, which is something I think everyone is hoping for. Yet, I doubt this entails that Kirby will have his former greatness as he did in 64. I don’t they would make that mistake again.
If it was a mistake for Kirby to be strong in 64 then it was just as much a mistake for Fox to be strong in Melee.Um, it is true that Kirby definitely looks faster and stronger when comparing him to his melee form, but this game is not melee. I just hope they don't change him too much, I don't want to have to completely re-learn my favorite puffball.Yeah i just saw the vids of Kirby and i saw that a lot of Kirby's moves did get changed.
Running A: runs toward and spins on his head/hands
side-B or Fair: instead of the spinning hammer you hit with the hammer from side to side
Up-B: faster and more horizontal range at start
idk what else, but yeah Kirby does look much better.
Some people can dream. He will still be a light weight, but I see what you mean, I think.Hopefully he won't be so easily KOable
It is very hard to see that video (WTH IS WITH ALL THE JAPANESE TEXT) but you can certainly tell that his /\B is a LOT faster.I found a jump festa video and posted it on youtube... Kirby's rock drop has been way improved... heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WdNMNFrf8M
I think they did that on purpose so we can't see Kirby's awesomeness. But all is better with Kirby except his Up Air, but I don't use that a lot though. It is very hard to see that video (WTH IS WITH ALL THE JAPANESE TEXT) but you can certainly tell that his /\B is a LOT faster.
The release and spike and projectile are all very impressive. Better than the 64 verison for sure! The projectile doesn't just tap through characters, it LAUNCHES themIt is very hard to see that video (WTH IS WITH ALL THE JAPANESE TEXT) but you can certainly tell that his /\B is a LOT faster.
Again, it releases and falls faster.I found a jump festa video and posted it on youtube... Kirby's rock drop has been way improved... heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WdNMNFrf8M
Then use it moreI think they did that on purpose so we can't see Kirby's awesomeness. But all is better with Kirby except his Up Air, but I don't use that a lot though.
Captain Kirbyman? Like Olimar? lol I think I have an idea what that may look like.at first kirby's dash attack looked like the basic trip from smash 64, but now i'm hearing its the breakdance spin, the tried and true yoyo attack from kirby superstar SWEET!!, also the concept of captain kirby and pikirbymen confuses me
Actually there is a reason for it! They confirmed at JumpFesta that Kirby can now suck in certain items, cool eh?Swallow actually looks slower to me... but I'm sure there's some hidden reason for this...
