Yesterday i was fooling around with kirby and i discovered something. I don't know if this is new or usefull ( i think it is ) but too bad then.
The trick: If you run of a ledge and just after you dropped use your side-B hammer towards the stage it cancel most of the ( or maybe all ) lag. It is possible to hit with it, but if you use it too quick it just cancels.
I'm not sure about the lag cancel ( don't feel like starting up brawl at the moment ) but it's still good for mindgames then:)

its called air walking, wario can do it also.

U can actually do it so fast that u get landing lag. If u time it right the hitbox of a full swing but u dont get as much landing lag as a full swing

oookay.
I thought that airwalking was just walking over the ledge and backward again.
But yeah thanks for the info!

Ya, I always do that in the training room online when Im bored, i just wasnt sure if it was known...
Also, ever tried short hopping and using the hammer with just a little space between Kirby and the ground? Same thing happens.

A better trick to do is to do a running upsmash on an opponent near the edge of the stage and canceling the lag by sliding off and you can immediately start a hammer or bair or something. Also if you time it right I think you can cancel the lag of an upsmash without the opponent being at the edge as well. Sliding off the edge while starting a ground hammer looks pretty cool too not practical though lol.
