Well, I've been seeing this in the other character forums, so why not here.

Alright. So all that we need is for Kirby players to post their name (either the one here on smashboards, or their real one; it doesn't really matter), their state, and their city. International Kirby players could just replace state with their country. It's a very short, simple thing, and I'll be keeping this first post updated and prettiful so we can get an idea of where everybody comes from, for the purposes of seeking out other Kirbys for practice or otherwise. Just something like this is fine:

The secondary purpose of this thread is to be just the social area for Kirby players. Talk of Kirby strategy etc. need not be the main discussion in this room; feel free to bring up some other smaller things that wouldn't be fitting of their own thread or in a different thread. This is more of a fun thing, but don't get too off-topic with it.

As it gets larger, I'll probably divide things up into wider regions, but for now, just the US and International are needed.

Anyway, a small, off-topicish question. Sure, you use Kirby in smash, but do you like Kirby Games? Kirby as a character in general?

Actually I've never played too many Kirby games. I only chose Kirby at the start because he looked cool fighting and his taunt was great for annoying others

The Kirby game I've actually put the most time into was Kirby's Avalanche

Tight Siggy Omni. One of those powers I've never even seen O.o And I call myself a Kirby fan.

Also, Kirby has always been my favorite Nintendo character.

Lets see if i can name them...

Mike (Microphone, Thrid use), Wing, Fire, Beam, Kirby w/ Wheelie as helper, the hat is also from cannon kirby. Sleep, Yoyo, Ninja, Stone, Crash.

All i believe are from Kirby Super star. Oh, and yes, i am a rather large Kirby fan. Samus and Link come after Kirby and Metaknight.

The closest actual well-known smashers are up in edmonton... There are some in Calgary, but they would prolly refuse to play me.

Well, the Kirby pictures go from Fighter from that one Kirby television show, to throw kirby, to fighter kirby from KATAM.

A year, Onigamer? Twernt that long I don't think. But yah, my trafficing to the Smash boards has dropped since MOAST3. Things have goten really................slow you know? But you are doing an admirable job of keepnig things moving around here.

But I'm no derserter, this is my Smash home. So I do come back and do some tiddying up. Click on sponcers, rant about Smash3, making sure whatever status I have here is kept in tact. Gota make sure this place is still alive when the Smash3 bomb hits, then I'll move back into my summer house known as the Smash boards.

I gota tell you, Richard and I are pumped beyond belief. We have so many plans for Smash3 and the community (aka the Smashboard) is an important part of that. One of our goals is to discover some of the major machanics of the game so that we may name them. The other is to create every cool move you've ever seen in an ANIME to life in the game. Flash step, Body flicker, Suicuchi, Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki, Kage Bunshin, Ban Kai, Genjutsu, you name it.

Oh yeah, and what's the news with your tournaments down in Wooster? I seem to remember you saying that a shop owner hosts tournies or smashfests every now and then. You're only about an hour away, so I'm pretty sure we'd be able to drive down to the next one.

But the replay value is just tremendous IMO. A few years later and i'm still hooked on NiDL (Kirby adventure Port). I'd still play superstar if my SNES hadn't broke.

I can't wait for the GCN one coming out.

Uh... Wooster? Were you talking to me on this one? Anyway... there is a local store here that does hold tournaments... in fact, there's one coming up soon. In fact, the weekend after your tournament.
