Kirby against a spammer.

Well, there's this player who uses Link and just spams the crud out of me. And I'm sure I shouldn't get spammed by Link. If I try to attack from a distance (something my Kirby isn't good at), he gets me with that grapple hook thingy, or a bomb.

Get used to ducking under, jumping over, grabbing, and powershielding when playing against projectile spammers with Kirby. You can crouch under [old] Link's hookshot.

Yeah, it isn't bad at all once you adjust. I actually think Kirby is my best character by far against Y.Link.

Steal his bow and shoot him.

Close the distance with good evasion, then strike. You have to keep the pressure on, or they'll stay back and spam you. Squaring off against Link can be difficult on Kirby, but not letting them get in that spam mode is very important.

You can't afford to be hit by that bullsh*t...

Stealing his bow is not the answer. obviously

well, try use Hammers and Cutters attacks and of course. use Air Attacks.
Link have a Bow/Bomb/Boomerang, but both Bow and Boomerang just go in horizontal line(expect for Boomerang which can make a upward and downward attack. In that case use this mini combo: Dair->Dsmash/Utilt->Bair(Fence of Pain)

And with the Bombs just Swallow Link and put him off on the edge and use Dair ou Cutter.
