BuyBack Winner: Velocity

Sorry it took 2 days to post results. I have been sick like a dog for a week and I just started to feel a little better in the past few hours. Results DO NOT include buybacks. Normally we only do buybacks for single elim tournaments, but I was told about the buybacks after we already set it up for double elim. I know SWF started to do rankings, I don't think buybacks should count, but Velocity won the buyback bracket against about 6 other players. He played Pi^7 for the chance to play in the finals, but lost. I think even though his official ranking is 9th, the rankers (or whatever you call yourselves) should give him a few extra points for his efforts in the BBB.

Next event is October 27th in New Brunswick, NJ and trust me it will be much bigger. This event was our first in over a year in an area we have never been before. I expected a bigger turnout, but with 2 other major tournaments that day it hit us hard.

New thread for new event to come in the next couple days, when I feel better.

lol JD this thread was all about me until you made an off-topic post. Minus 6 Scar points to you, sir.

Suicide Fox, I am admittedly surprised that you posted the bracket, but good stuff, the tourney was fun. We should have done pools, though.

Lol.

Imagine.

Lol, I do all the time, cause that's what this game is about. Having fun by trying your hardest. If it doesn't happen before brawl then o well, but I will have tried, and that's what matters. I'm better than a lot of people in my state without ever practicing at home, only by playing 4 man melee's(usually with items) with total noobs 3 times a week, so GET OFF MY BACK CACTUS XDDD.

Hey, I like this Slayer guy :)

If you really are at the advanced level of the scrubs then PA you guys should spank him around a bit. Give some time and he'll be pretty good before Brawl.

Rough translation: "No thanks, you will kick my *** and I am not paying you for lessons."

You know, some people's hard earned money comes from Smash. Just look at Ryoko.

You know what I was saying, dont put words in my mouth man. Your right, Ryoko does probably make money playing this game, but I work and go to school, and im having a good time playing smash for fun. Sorry I don't take this game as seriously as you do. It's a party game btw.

some philly players 'trash talk in an awesome manner'; you have yet to show that side of you if it exists

Thanks Woz for sending me a warning for double posting, I was stupid not knowing the horrible effects that double posting has on smashboards. I am now smarter than I was yesterday, and will never do it again. But seriously, don't do that again. It's not a big deal and act like a ****ing man and dont worry about it. You're right, my main goal in life is too ruin a thread and get more posts. You foiled my plot, now I must edit everything. Argggg.

you double posted on purpose just for the sake of doing it in response to being informed it was against the rules

i don't understand why people are so resistant to playing by the rules when it's trivial to do so

Fine, hes a moderator, did I double post a swear, was I making a racial comment, was I stepping on anyones ideas or making harsh comments towards people? No I was kidding. I don't see why double posting is against the rules. I can see just blatant spam covering more than like 4 or 5 posts in a row that have no relation to a forum, but double posting gives me a warning? Are you kidding?

you realize that a warning is meaningless, whereas he could've given you an infraction instead?

a mod is just a formal way of saying "don't do it again"; it doesn't go on your record or anything, and since you were too dumb just to listen when someone said "double posting is frowned upon" it's logical that the mod used the next step up
