Honestly, I was just going to make a joke post but then I clicked on the link to timesonline. The information there piqued my curiosity and so I watched the first youtube video as well.

I highly suggest that anyone who has a moment takes the time to learn about this fascinating person.

That's amazing how his mind worked. How could anyone remember all the words on the page of a book let alone read it in eight seconds? Kim Peek was a very gifted individual

"My father and I share the same shadow”

I remember him saying that and being like wow, for someone who supposedly has trouble understanding metaphors and abstract concepts.... I mean on one hand its a very logical observation, but also deeply poetic. Anyways, a true genius

RIP Kim Peek

OMG. My heart dropped when I saw this thread.

Kim Peek was such...a miracle to mankind. I've been so fascinated in him and other such savants for years. It's so sad that he's gone. This really is a true loss to humanity. I'm glad he did live as long as he did though. :<

He would read eight books a day, taking just ten seconds to read a page. He could read two pages simultaneously, his left eye reading the left page and his right eye reading the right page.
Beast.

I remember reading about him.He was an amazing person.Very very gifted in some ways. One of the few in his situation who could properly convey what it felt like to be himself.

Everyone should definitely read up on him.

Imagine every human could be like him except fully able.

COME ON EVOLUTION!
