Bwahaha! It looks more like a poorly drawn building to me. I wouldn't have known it was supposed to be a gun if the thread hadn't told me.

But I know a kid who draws guns all the time in class. He defnitely has issues. :(

This reminds me of My Name is Asher Lev. Is that weird?

My friends draw stuff that's a lot worse than that at school. One of my friends even made a picture of a really annoying kid in our class with a spear through his heart. He got a detention, but nothing worse.

LOL.

What the hell? I drew weapons on scrap paper all the time when I was 13. I even drew Fox's blaster on the blank sheet of paper you get for the finals in 9th grade.

So when does "better safe than to be sorry" become too extreme?
When the Columbine Shooting happened and then when Virginia Tech happened. Both incidences could have been prevented had teachers paid attention and followed through, but instead we get two horrible acts of violence. Now, and for a while, anything deemed inappropriate will be met with over-reaction.

I mean the Patriot Act alone is proof that Americans will overact in extreme ways to ANYTHING.

So he got suspended for drawing a building that looked like a gun? Was the kid anti-social, sulky, on medication, or dangerous in any way? There was absolutely no reason to suspend him! When are they going to start to suspend students for playing hangman?

That gun appears to have windows all over the side of it. It looks like a school with a road/path leading to it and also leaving near the top. What it is depends entirely on how you look at it.

Yeah that hardly looks like a gun to me. Why would you suspend him for such a stupid reason? We have all drawn weapons in class. I still do. One time I drew my Science Teacher being attacked by a giant protomiehis. (I put it on a science test and he saw it) But I didnt get a detention from it. (I did stay after class and wash desks.

I understand people getting worried over a 13 year old sketching a detailed drawing of an uzi, but a 2D drawing of rectangles with wavy lines connected in the shape of an upside-down L, with smily's and windows? Come on!

I was flipping through channels yesterday, and I saw this on (shudder) Fox News, but I don't remember the gun having smily faces on it:

The image Fox News uses (from their website):

The image from WorldNetDaily:

Either the kid drew two (or more) guns, or the original was tampered with somewhere.

Oh, and if my school suspended kids for their doodles, I would definitely have been suspended multiple times. In kindergarten, I drew guns. I blame Goldeneye, though.

I think it is a gun, but I'm surprised it was drawn that poorly by a 13 year old. Nevertheless, like they said there was no bullets or blood or anything so they overreacted a ton. Ridiculous.

Apparently, NOBODY thinks it's a gun, so.. I bet this could get some money on eBay for what it's for.

There are too many posts to even warn in here. I'm just closing this spam fest.
