First Appearance: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island - August 5, 1995 (Super NES, Game Boy Advance)
Overview
Kamek is from the Mario/Yoshi Series. I personally see him as a character in the Yoshi Series. Mainly because she a plays a more important role in the series. Kamek has appeared in every Yoshi game, the Mario Party Series (MP 2, MP 5, MP 6, MP 7, MP 8, MP DS, MP 9, MP: IT, MP 10, MP: SR), the Mario & Luigi Series (PIT - PJ), the main Mario Series (Galaxy, NSMBW, NSMBU), the Mario & Sonic Series (London 2012 Olympic, Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter), and Paper Mario: Sticker Star & Color Splash. I feel as if she will take most of her moves from the Yoshi Series and a little bit from the Mario Party Series.
Who is Kamek?
As Kamek is looking into his crystal ball, he sees that the Mario Bros. will be born and the out come is not good. According to his crystal ball, it said that they would become a great threat to the Koopa Troop. Because of this, Kamek decided to go out and kidnap them, but ended up kidnapping just Baby Luigi and not Baby Mario. As Kamek was returning to his castle, he realized he made a mistake and (once again) kidnapped Baby Luigi and left Baby Mario behind. He sends his Toadies to go get him, but fortunately Baby Mario was found by the Yoshis. Everyone took turns taking him with them in levels, boss fights, etc.
Kamek plays a small role in the Mario Series, but plays a bigger role in the Yoshi Series. In fact, the only game Kamek hasn't appeared in would be Yoshi's Cookie for the NES, Famicom, Game Boy, and SNES.
