It was literally one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had.
Literally every single person I met there had an extreme enthusiasm for the game and you could talk about every game for as long as you can, even if they don't play the same Smash as you. Brawl players were seriously some of the most pleasant people there and generally I really respect them as a community.
Melee/Project M players were extremely pleasant as well, but seeing as how I played a lot more of that then Brawl, I received a ton of advice on how to play better and improve my playstyle. Very little was given in regards to trash talk or disrespect among players, even when I got 4 stocked by some insanely good falcon. Plenty of advice and tips on my playstyle were given and I generally have a better idea on what to improve on my playstyle instead of just playing training mode and improving my tech skill for hours on end.
And on a totally random note, my friend brought a ukulele into the casual room, as we didn't have a hotel room at that moment, and Hungrybox walked in and just started playing on it and sang a song about Apex with him.
So yeah... pretty neat. I'm well aware not many places are like Apex, but I'm extremely interested in more then just this games online community now.
