I've always enjoyed those fake Smash Bros Character Trailer Newcomer...things...do those have a term I could call them?

Anyway, I've enjoyed those, and I want to try and make my own. Could anyone help me find out how? I'm mainly talking about the Text font thing (EX: "Megaman joins the battle" and the thing it's placed on), I can get an image on my own.
