Just how good is Kirby in Sm4sh?

Ok, I use Kirby in every game besides Melee. So I am very familiar with him. ZeRo put him as an underrated character in one of his videos. I think Kirby is high mid tier honestly and this is coming for. Someone who secondaries him in the game. I don't think he is bad or anything, I just feel like he is overrated a bit.

Hmm it doesn't really feel like people see him as high tier, so why would he be overrated? The thing is that Kirby hasn't gotten that much attention and I guess that might be why people have thought of him as underrated as he does have some potential. I would say that he is indeed a mid tier character. Not sure if he's higher or lower mid tier, but still mid tier.

Kirby is pretty underrated. He isn't played by a lot of people which makes some people think he is low tier but i would say he is mid tier. He has some good matchups against some higher tiers so I think he has a lot of potential.

I honestly think that his kit has high tier potential, but since we're counting MUs and tourney viability, he isn't. He is a solid mid tier character, and thats where most Kirby mains tend to place him. He has the strengths of a high tier, but his weaknesses counter his strengths (Really good up-close game but bad approach options and bad air mobility, etc). Which means Kirby is an entirely MU based character to put in a tier list, which makes him mid-tier.

Concisely:

Kirby's bad match-ups are worse than his good match-ups.
He has a bunch of mediocre match-ups.
He does really well against lower level players and not so well against higher level players.

Kirby is mid tier without customs like everyone else said.
But with customs Kirby is much better and I would consider him to be upper middle tier.
