Went to a local tournament at my buddy's place in Waco. We all know the ins and outs of competitive Melee decently so it was a great time. I had some pretty good wins but lost overall, and when I did, the matches were close. (Everyone said I had really good DI *blush*)

I was a Mewtwo main in Melee and had been wanting to try him out in PM since he was excluded from both Brawl and 4. Playing PM Mewtwo for the first time felt like taking off a power inhibitor. This incarnation is what he should've been, especially with all the KO options now that you can attack straight out of a teleport, among other things. Played some Roy and other characters too, overall very satisfied and am now trying to procure a Wii so I can have it at my house.

Don't wanna post an overly long analysis, but basically I feel really at home maining Mewtwo in PM and I like that they finally made my favorite underrated character viable, even if it took fans to do it. I'll probably play this a lot even after 4 comes out because I like the roster better by far. Anyways, just wanted to share my positive thoughts on PM and perhaps get some of your own first impressions, and even some Mewtwo tips from people who've been playing longer than I. Discuss.

I absolutely love Project M, although I hate facing dirty m2 players ;). But seriously, I feel like everytime I play it's a fresh match up and everyone I play with plays who they enjoy rather than restricting themselves to who is "top tier" leading to much more variety and I think that's a great thing. I, too, will probably keep playing P:M even after Smash4 is a thing because I am just having so much fun. I haven't enjoyed any video game this much in a very long time

I love PM also :D
I played Melee all through most of my childhood and absolutely loved it. I played Brawl when it came out too, mostly only the SSE and single player modes. But when my friend told me about Project M, and I played it for the first time with him I was like "O.O This is amazing. It's like Melee 2 but with Brawl characters <3"
Now I go to tourneys and train and make friends all the time with people who play. I'll definitely still be playing after Smash 4 comes out. I can't wait to see what PM 3.5 is like. GET HYPE.

Yeah that's what I love, how they made almost everyone viable! There was a HUGE variety in mains at the local tournament and I found myself beating some good Foxes but losing to a DK. It's so much more fun than seeing the same 4 or so characters all the time. I didn't just play Mew2 though, I played a lot of Roy and Kirby, and especially Wolf who is my Brawl main, they improved him a lot IMO!
