We will be running a Smash League for both Melee and Smash 4 at Reaction Games in South Bend, IN in order to name a true champion for the Michiana area! We've seen great numbers at the regular events at Reaction Games, and our hope is also that regular play will help people in the area to grow their skills as they prepare for the major summer tournaments.

The league will go for 8 consecutive weeks starting on April 19, and will take place each Sunday for at least 2 hours (1 PM for Melee, 3:30 PM for Smash 4). Each week, we will be giving out points and prizes according to the following plan:

Each session:

Points

1st – 40, 2nd – 25, 3rd – 15, 4th – 10, 5th – 5, 7th – 3, 9th – 2, Participation – 1

End of Season Prizes (minimum 6 sessions attended)
1st - $150
2nd - $100
3rd - $50

For at least half of the sessions, we will also award small prizes.

Tournament format will vary, but will ensure that everyone who participates gets around 6 solid tournament matches. We will also try to do some streaming and coaching as well so that everyone has the chance to improve. Ruleset will usually be the community standard, but may be altered occasionally to test your skills in some different ways.

Sign-ups for the entire league will cost $40 up front, or $8 for each individual week that you attend. We hope to see you there!

We will give away small prizes for a few of the weekly sessions. This is really more about developing a community and giving everyone more matches than they would otherwise get in a straight tournament format. There's a solid prize at the end for top performers.

Still, you're going to have to swing by if you think you can win it!
