RULES
-bring your own Game Cube controller
-4 stocks, 8 minutes
-sets best out of 3 matches; finals' sets best out of 5 matches
-items are off
-winner of match locks into a character before loser chooses character for next match
-if time runs out when stocks are tied, the player with least percent wins
-wobbling is banned
-freezing glitches (including Ice Climbers' freeze glitch or Mewtwo's Soul Stunner) and match stalling (including wall-jumping under battlefield) will result in disqualification
-non-Nintendo brand controllers must be cleared by a TO before use
-performance altering controller mods are banned
-Dave's Modified Stupid Rule - no player may pick a stage that he/she has won on during one set (unless agreed by both players)
-pausing during a match will result in loss of a stock
STAGES
-Neutrals 1v1 - Final Destination, Yoshi's Story, Dreamland, Battlefield, Fountain of Dreams
-Counterpicks 1v1 - Pokemon Stadium
-stage striking will be in effect for first match of set; rock-paper-scissors for first strike; loser chooses ban before next match
PLAYER CHOICE CLAUSE!
If both players agree to a rule outside of the rule-set, feel free to play by that. If one player wants to counter-pick Mute City and the other is fine with that because they think it's a fair stage, then that is more than fine. However, in the event that two players disagree, house rules stay.
