Is it bad to jump with the stick? Or does it really make a difference?

I think doing a short hop while moving around, fighting, and doing immediate aerials is next to impossible if you short hop by pushing slightly up quickly. I feel like that takes way too much effort and shafts your ability to move since you have the manipulate the analog stick.

Or you could tap the Y (or X if you are weird ) button lol

Jumping is more precise with x/y and it is much easier to short hop and wavedash.

Yea what these guys said you need to use x and y for short hops

i pretty much always fj with the stick. sh you have to use the button for. itll be way more effort in the long run to use the stick effectively.
