I'd do it July 4th, but I gotta chill with the family then.
Anyways, I live in Ocean Grove, NJ. I am within walking distance of the Asbury Park Station, which you can get to quite easily via train or bus. My address is 88 Abbott Ave. I am four blocks from the beach.
The beach is fun. Swimming is good exercise and exposure to the sun in the right amounts is healthy, and both will make you look better. I know most of you are in dire need of both exercise and sun, and this is a fun way to do it.
I have a surfboard, but you can only use it if you're tiny. If you weigh over 120 pounds it'll be difficult to use it since it's kinda small since it's my brother's from when he was younger. I can teach anyone how to surf, but I can't use the board myself.
I have a body board I just bought that's big and has a plastic bottom for increased durability and speed. This is what I prefer to do, preferably with the big waves all the tourists run away from. I think it's really fun and I'll teach you how to do it properly if you want.
I know a spot where I can get an infinite number of mussels if you like to eat those. They are typically sort of expensive, but if you get them yourself, they're obviously free. I can cook sauces with them or just steam them up with some garlic, oil, lemon, and parsley for a delicious dinner or snack. I will also cook dinner for people that come since Italians are hospitable and that's how my family rolls.
We wouldn't be able to use my house since I live with my grandparents. We'd have to be OUTSIDE. We can eat out at any of the awesome places nearby, my favorite being Clancy's Tavern. I'm aiming for an all-around fun day with multiple activities that AREN'T Smash.
I can house a small amount of people if needed, but my grandparents are hella picky... Rigel, Kaila, and Izumi are easy, but not the rest of you, lol. I'd prefer if people go home Saturday night if they can.
Let me know if you're going to come.
