Off definitely. I can't play Melee without jumping using the control stick and I want to break that habit. Brawl gives me the perfect opportunity to do that.

Thank god, I was waiting for this to be answered. I always find it very hard to do up aerials without using my second jump on accident.

Mostly off, I use it for going up and down on the ledges though, but it interferes with my up tilts. I either up smash or jump and a. I'll decide after I try it for a bit and after trying out the characters.

On. Up Smashes out of shield would be extremely cumbersome without it. I'm already used to C-sticking my up airs as it is, and using up tilts by actual tilting.

That's a good point.

I'm not sure yet. A part of me wants it off because I don't like jumping that way, but if its going to limit advanced stuff then I'm keeping it on.

Actually, jumping instead of tilting isn't that much a problem anymore, since I practiced at it for a while. For some reason, I still don't like the feature.

I can deal with it turned on.

Hmm... thats a good point. Wouldn't up smashing after dashing at someone [like with fox] be affected negatively by having the stick jump off?

If so, then I'll probably leave it on. =/
You could always dash cancel with crouch -> C-stick up. The same method is done for running Dsmashes, except with C-stick down of course..

Actually, I take that back a bit. You can't "always" do it. There's a brief period when you start to dash where you can't crouch to cancel it.

Anyways, we don't really know how Smash mechanics will exactly work with the Tap Jump ON/OFF feature, so we'll still have to try them out first anyway. My choice depends on how it affects Usmashes out of shield, and I suppose Usmashes out of short dashes also.

I really want to turn it off, but I'm afraid that if I do some tactic that requires it on is going to come out (or at least makes it much easier).

IF that happens I don't want the headache of having to get used to it ON again.
