Wow, and I can't even write straight on the pad. Thanks for posting the pictures here.

That reminds me I haven't seen the movie yet.

I know, I just forgot about it or didn't have enough time. I'll see it soon.

Apparently Yokai Watch already premiered an English dub in Toonami Asia. Any link to watch the episode?
Only thing I found is this:

So, are Japanese people genetically predetermined to be masters of drawing? Because the best I can draw is a stickman
Japan is a master of arts, it's no surprise to anyone.

By the way guys, Watch of Yokai wants us to post Yokai Watch discussion here! Please join if you can!

I already made a promotional poster for them:

Let's make Watch of Yokai the Serebii for the franchise!
Sure, I'll sign up in a few hours. Because my girlfriend really wants to challenge me to a few rounds of Smash and Splatoon today given she's in that competitive mood as usual.

I don't think you messed it up. I have signed too and I haven't got the email with the password yet as well.

I signed up relatively quickly with signing in with a Google account.
That could be the net alternative if he doesn't send them soon.

Here's the response he gave me:
So yeah, do a social login if possible.

I had the same problem, in Edit you can write a nickname and below you can choose to display the nickname instead of the real name. You have to save the nickname first and then select it (and save again :p)

Totally bummed out that the European release isn't this year at all. Might actually end up importing it after all. It'll be too painful waiting while you guys in NA can play it. :p

Does anyone here have experience with the Japanese release? I know kana, but I have limited knowledge of kanji. I'm still pretty much at an upper beginner level in Japanese, but I aim to learn some new vocabulary by playing the game (like how Pokémon helped me learn English when I was little, I suppose). I'll probably end up getting the English release to review anyway, so why not support the franchise by buying at least one of the releases?

So hey, how long is the actual game? For those who have played it? Does the game have bosses? A final boss, perhaps?

Y'know you could try importing the NA version when it comes out. :p

From what I heard from reviews, it might be 20+ hours. I saw another article saying they spent 42 hours on the thing for the main storyline.

That would have made it easier, but the region locking makes it difficult, and I already have a Japanese 3DS. I'm currently trying to save money to afford a three month stay in Japan to study the language, so I'm not really looking for another 3DS at the moment. :p

Knowing Level-5, it's probably going to be at least 20-30 hours on the main story. I've played all the Inazuma games now, and those have always taken me 40 hours to get through the main story, with enormous amounts of content for the endgame. It's amazing how much content they're able to cram into their games, and it never really feels tedious. If I end up playing the Japanese version, I'll probably spend a great deal more, looking up every other word. ;)

If you're getting a Japanese copy, I think those will end up being cheap to buy online or in-store in Japan since the game is pretty outdated with YW2 coming out.

Yeah, I'll look around a bit and see if it's cheapest on the eShop or from one of the import sites I use. It'll be interesting to see the differences in the versions after localisation. I'm also interested in comparing the NA version to the EU version. I know the Layton games at least were quite different between the regions, even the English speaking ones.

Chances are the eShop price is probably higher.
Given the Japanese culture, I can see lots of changes made to fit a western audience.

Extended version of the songs you all know and love.

I forgot to post my thoughts on Jibanyan. I do not know anything about the character outside of what I read in the original post, but he sounds as though he could be a lot of fun. I would be more confident in his inclusion if he was not a third-party character (of course). But still, he is certainly a character that I have been sleeping on. I never really considered that he was a possibility; however, for some reason, I find him to be more likely than Rayman, Shovel Knight, or Bayonetta, etc.

I can tell that the kids would be all over this. Toys = sales and mass promotion in this day and age.

I ended up ordering the game last night after all. Hoping to be as amazed as I'd like to be!

The anime is pretty neat as well. It isn't a masterpiece in narrative or the most interesting thing I've ever seen, but it is addictive and loads of fun. I love how it's very episodic, with the substories of Komasan and Jinmenken continuing from week-to-week. Also, the humour is dead on at times, with the show never really taking itself too seriously. Now I'm just hoping for a successful localisation. I'm eager to see how certain concepts will get translated to American and European culture. I'm thinking the delay for us Europeans is due to the localisation team wanting to make it fit the culture of each region as much as possible. Impreressive if correct, but very disappointing if it's because of licensing or some other rubbish like that.
