I was checking out Ankoku's Japanese video thread, watching some Diddy videos. If you haven't seen Ankoku's video thread, is full of great matches by some of Japan's best smashers organized by character. Great resource.

Anyway, while checking some of the videos I noticed something I haven't seen before, getting a wavebounce effect while reversing the peanut popgun and immediately canceling it. It's featured in a couple of videos, this one in particular

Nagahari(Diddy) vs Plus(MK)

Some of the times are 1:49, 2:15, 3:43, and most noticeably at 3:54. If this is known, I haven't seen it before and would appreciate being redirected to where it is discussed or just being told how to do it. At least check out Ankoku's vid thread.

Sorry known. =/

It was in the diddy boards for awhile. To do it you tap opposite direction your facing -> b -> Z (cancels it)

You have to hit Z almost immediately after B.

Thanks, I tried it with the shield button and didn't work, didn't check with Z. Will practice it later, it seems like a great tech to add to my game to mix up my landings.

Be sure to check the rest of the vids in the thread, nice Diddys in Japan.

Actually you hit B before hitting the opposite direction if you want to get the wavebounce effect. Only B Reversals reverse your momentum (hitint B before the control stick) Turnaround B doesnt change your momentum (hitting B after the control stick)

I'll try this. I couldn't get it to work with just a regular b-reversal.

I dunno what bellioes is saying, but you have to be moving in the air in one direction, press b and then hit the analog stick in the other direction right after b.

This is what I was saying. I was just correcting someone who said that you hit the analog stick in the opposite direction before hitting B which is called a turnaround B.
