japanese import console question

if i buy a japanese import gamecube does that mean i need to buy a japanese melee disc as well? and will it have a language selection like the american melee does? help would be appreciated

Either that or you need to remove the region lock on the Gamecube. As for language selection, I would assume so but I wouldn't know for sure.
