Jab Reset Options?

Whenever I anticipate a missed tech and go for the jab reset, what ends up happening is that both jabs will hit them and the opponent will be returned to a neutral position that I cannot punish, presumably because I think the jab is too strong. Say this happens to Fox, a good player will be able to react to this and quickly shine out of what is usually a very good punish for IC's because jab resets lead into grabs which lead into kills. I'm thinking I could DD desync ice block or something but I want to know if there are any other options.

pivot ice block would be faster
you could also spotdodge grab or go for the jab grab desync
