Jab, hold down, and release down right after you finish the jab . This lets you repeat the initial jab. It works because you crouch and then immediately stand up again, which breaks the series of rapid jabs.

or you could press a and then hold down and back before the first jab finishes and keep tapping a(though not too fast or it won't be able to cancel).

well its actually very useful. it allows u to do quick jab combos that could ezily lead to an edgeguard.

like jab cancelling 2 jabs > grab while using mario is a good combo
its not like u have to use jab cancelling tho. if u dont like it then dont use it
Jab canceling is awesome, but that isn't really a "combo" since it is easily escapable.

Could this be used to gentleman with Falcon? I am too inept to time it lols (I am sure I just need practice but if there is an easier way why not)

mark.

Samus's up b is ESPECIALLY useless in battlefield and similar levels with platforms

He's right. Samus's up B isn't very useful either.
because they are basically the exact same things eh?...

but anyways i actually do have a question.

does this technique allow you to actually cancel a jab animation to perform a jab--->grab faster than if you were to do it without the cancel. If not, the example I was given of two jab cancelled jabs successively seems rather pointless if you could just do the first two jabs of the regular jab combo. if so... cooo.
