This looks to be as a trailer or commercial for the upcoming Smash release in Japan. It would make sense. What do you all think?

Not as awesome as the other Japanese commercial, but it certainly looks like it cost a lot more.

I really hope they give us the same treatment overseas, as Nintendo needs to have at least one good marketing campaign this Gen.

AKB48 is famous not Japan but also in the entire Asia!
Wait if Smash Bros compete all the AKB48 crew, does that mean there will really be 48 characters?

I'd point out that all of those characters are ones who appeared in other cg trailers; it seems clear to me that they just re-used the trailer assets for this ad... which is smart really.

The is one of the leaks that I hated, especially Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Dog. You can like them but seriously they aren't suitable of fighting in this game.
Do YOU believe this leak?(Not matter if you believe it or not we can't deny it, but if this is real the first hype of this game to be blown out and criticized will be the characters.)

After all most people in other countries are likely to go ''Who?!"

And yes they're totally going to let Asia's equal of the Spice Girls/Destiny's Child decide the size of the roster.

In fact? This just in Beyonce is the creative producer on Smash 6 coming in 2020.

I just looked them up. They're pretty huge. Top 5 selling girl groups. 30.9 million sales, they fall just behind Spice Girls, TLC, Destiny's Child, and Bananarama. They beat girl bands like Speed, En Vogue, and Pussycat Dolls.

I.... don't think at this point you can deny it as being real. The exact same Shulk render that Sakurai showed off was the same as it, and the gameplay footage Sakurai gave in Shulk's trailer matches perfectly with the leaked videos.
