sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.... i've been fiddling around, and found a good team that might suit me... so i'ma gonna take a crack at you guys one last time....

Ice Beam is stabbed against any pesky dragon, earthy, grassy, ect... Water pulse is used to severly Damage and possibly confuse oncoming type advantages, shadow ball for gengar and psychopaths.... and Double Team to aid Glacy's poor Speed
-overall- Basic Specs Glacy set only with wise glasses and water pulse and Double team replace HP Fighting and Fake Tears for strategic use...

ANOTHER BASIC SET!!! though i'm having a pretty good problem... see, while reading Smogon, i discovered that with protect, Torterra can regain life and scout out enemy moves... but if Empoleon chose Stealth Rock over Roar, i have no protection against DDed Gyrados and other boosted pokemon...

-TEAM OVERALL- The Team is more based on individual strategy for offence.... Gengar can set up for annoyance and screw the other team, and Togekiss can heal my pokemon if needed... Torterra and Empoleon have the possibilty inter-strategy depending on the moves i choose to give them...

OK first off, Double Team is hardly "strategic use". It involves pressing the same button until your opponent has a 67% chance of doing nothing every turn. That's why it is banned in regular play, so I suggest using Fake Tears over it. Also, Water Pulse is useless except against Camerupt and Magcargo. Replace it with wish for real team support. Hell, you could ditch Fake Tears and use Wish for scouting and healing purposes.

No problem really: I would suggest SE over T-Punch, as it OHKOs Salamence even after the intimidate and an SD.

I just stopped at this point. I would really suggest not using all 3 starters on the same team unless you have a really good reason.

1. people use moves like quick attack and Ice Shard ( i know they attack first but they ARE weak moves), i find no problem to put Water Pulse in.
2. DT isn't a banned move, people throw fits if they can't hit a pokemon... and then the pokemon they tried to OHK kills them back after the opposing pokemon missed the move... so they take those moves out so that doesn't happen... personnaly, i think clauses are gay rules that should never have been made up... they just don't make pure battling pure battling the way NINTENDO wanted this to be
3. i'm pretty sure that nothing is illegal about having the 3 starters on my team...

I think People should Buck up and face the music that Nintendo most likely NEVER intended the competitive aspect of the game to go as far as deleting moves and puting pokemon into different tiers... these moves make a pokemon battle interesting if not fun imo... yet people think they are GAY because they ruin they're strategies

If what you're saying applied everywhere, Ice Climbers would be super broken god tier in melee. All the other person could do is button mash until/if they can get a hit.
Try going against a pokemon that sucessfully pulls off 6 double teams/minimize and say that again... and you misspelled "their" BTW.

Almost every online battler,and all serious competitors play by standard rules there buddy. That means no Evasion moves. If you use it in a standard rules match you'd just DQ yourself.

Well actually, most of the standard rules were included in most console games such as the Pokemon Stadium series and Battle Revolution. "We" set up the hax item, evasion, and OHKO clause, to keep the game as far away from being determined by luck as possible. (and we got rid of items clause for lefties abuse). So, you have called the company you (and I) love so much, "gay".

Does it really matter what Nintendo intended when it comes to actual battle? And Double Team doesn't make the match interesting. It pisses off one player or the other. If you spend 6 turns boosting evasion and still get hit, you're going to be pretty ticked off.

On that note, it's against your interests to be using that move. Spamming DT is asking to get set up on. In the time it takes you to max out evasion, something could have DDed a couple times. Simply put, you have better things to do than Double Team.

I would suggest looking at some of the possible Egg moves. Fake Tears, Wish, Yawn...there are some interesting moves to consider.

By the way, calm down. No one is screaming at you.

I honestly don't see a problem with Glaceon and its base 65 speed leading with Double Team. IMO, so many things can OHKO it.
