I've made a list of ZSS's TRUE/POSSIBLE combos

DISCLAIMER: Yes, it does show them as true combos in Training Mode's combo counter


All combos were tested on a Cptn Falcon CPU, on a flat stage, in training mode. Please keep in mind that hit% and/or combo viability will vary from character, character weight, character height, the player's execution, DI, timing, the presence of platforms and how the opponent is hit (close, far, in the air ecc). This is a guide to give players a general idea of what true combos are possible and/or useful/useless. If i missed something or you think something is off/wrong, please feel free to correct me. Hopefully you'll find this list helpful.

ZSS true combos:

(Falling) Upair to…

…Jab

    • Jab from 0% to 15%
…Dash Attack
    • DA from 5% to 30%
…Tilts
    • Utilt from 0% to 30%
    • Ftilt from 0% to 40% (high angle tilt from 30%)
    • Dtilt from 0% to 31%
…Smash attacks
    • Usmash (needs testing with human player, not sure if combo)
    • Fsmash from 10% to 40%
…Aerial attacks
    • Uair from 12% to 140% (DJ from 100%) CAN KILL from 121%
    • Fair from 30% to 125% (DJ from 80% otherwise 2 hit) CAN KILL from 120%, after 125% 2 hit combo (no kill)
    • Bair from 50% to 125% (DJ from 95%) CAN KILL from 120%
    • Nair from 30% to 125%
…Specials
    • UpB from 0% to 100% (quick jump before special from 20%, DJ from 65/75%) CAN KILL from 70%, needs testing with human player after 100%
    • DownB (no attack) from 50% to 70% (from 65% only with quick jump before special)
    • DownB (attack) from 55% to 65% (better done with c-stick)
    • NeutralB from 60% to 70%, from 85% to 100% with DJ
…Footstool
    • + Nothing from 5% to 60% (after needs testing with human player)
    • + Dair from 5% to 60% WARNING Dair can be teched
…Grab
    • Might be possible, needs testing with human player
(Falling) Nair to…(front hit)

…Jab

    • Jab from 0% to 25%
…Dash Attack
    • DA from 5% to 55%
…Tilts
    • Utilt from 5% to 35%
    • Ftilt from 0% to 40% (high angle tilt from 30%)

    • Fsmash from 5% to 40%
    • Dsmash from 24% to 37%
…Aerial attacks
    • Uair from 35% to 80% (DJ from 100%) needs forward momentum on landing, CAN FOLLOW TO A 3 HIT COMBO + KILL (ex. Nair+Uair+UpB)
    • Fair from 30% to 120% CAN KILL from 110% (even if 2 hits, but with last kick)
    • Nair from 50% to 120% (DJ after 110%)
…Specials
    • UpB from 0% to 100% (Forward QJ from 30%, DJ from 65/75%) CAN KILL from 70%
    • DownB (no attack) from 55% to 95% (from 85% serious spike after 87% QJ)
    • DownB (attack) from 60% to 85% (better done with c-stick) CAN KILL from 70%
    • NeutralB from 60% to 70%, from 85% to 100% with DJ
    • SideB needs testing with human player, might work
…Footstool
    • + Nothing from 30% to 55% (after needs testing with human player)

    • Fair (too many variables for %, roughly till 90%, it can combo though)
    • UpB easier to combo after 50% (needs QJ) CAN KILL from 65%
    • DownB may be possible, needs testing with human players
Grab to…

…Dthrow (+ jump)

    • Uair works, % needs testing with human player CAN KILL
    • Fair works, % need testing with human player
    • Nair works, % need testing with human player
    • UpB wors, % need testing with human player CAN KILL
Dsmash combos with anything from 10%? SET UP FOR KILL

DownB combos with anything if it traps the player SET UP FOR KILL

NeutralB combos with anything fully charged? SET UP FOR KILL

I can confirm that nair to grab does work but I don't really know the percents.

What do you mean by falling? They're falling? You're falling? Take uair to short hop upb for example. Can you dthrow to uair to short hop to up b, assuming you're low enough % to combo the dthrow or read the air dodge? It seems like a lot of these would be contingent on where you connect in the hitbox, so some further explanation would be greatly helpful.

QJ means quick jump and it's the same as SH (short hop) as far as I know.
DJ means double jump.

What do you mean by falling? They're falling? You're falling? Take uair to short hop upb for example. Can you dthrow to uair to short hop to up b, assuming you're low enough % to combo the dthrow or read the air dodge? It seems like a lot of these would be contingent on where you connect in the hitbox, so some further explanation would be greatly helpful.
Falling means you're landing while you are doing the attack.
Falling uAir > jab should make this obvious, since you need to be on the ground to jab.

Dunno, the word "landing" just didn't come through my mind at the time i was writing the list honestly.

On another note: I've been messing around against diddy -> Nair to Uair to (QJ) UpB is a 10 hit combo and can possibly kill Diddy at 50%

Yeah, we have that one in our combo video thread already.
I'm also going to blatantly implement your combos in the other thread, at least the ones that I don't already have :happysheep:

This is excellent. Been looking for a thread like this for a while, thanks.

I just stumbled across nair to fsmash by accident a while ago and been using it, was wondering if there were any other combos I'm missing out on and couldn't find this thread for a while cuz it wasn't on the 2nd/3rd page.
