Currently, I am a junior (11th grade). Let's rewind back to 7th grade. At that point, I had three other good friends: Zack, Eric, and Guth (His real name is Josh Guth, but Guth just fits better). We were all your average (lemme do some match, hold on. ~16-4=12) 12 year olds. We weren't really ones to go out and buy the latest games, nor did we have the latest fashion. We were average, let's call that the gray area. We were great friends. We met up all the time and played Guitar Hero 2 in each others rooms and chilled at stores and did whatever.

Let's fast forward to about a year later. At this point, Zack is slightly branching off. He's becoming a trouble-maker. Now Guth, he has a low self-esteem like myself and began following Zack and doing what he did because he thought it was "cool". Since then, I have not liked Zack and have not hung out with him. Guth on the other hand is a good kid, he just made the wrong friend. I still talk to him but I don't hang out with him anymore. Eric, I just stopped talking with him for one reason or another.

Fast forward another year. Zack gets worse, Guth follows. My and Eric become friends again through Boy Scouts.

Fast forward another another year. Zack is like dying his hair and whatnot, Guth dies his hair straight black. I join drumline to find Eric in drumline as well. Me and Eric become very good friends. We do indoor drumline as well AND Boy Scouts.

This year. Me and Eric are very very good friends now, and I have near forgotten about Zack, I don't even bother looking at him anymore. Me and Guth exchange hellos when we see each other and that's about it.

It's weird how people change in such short periods of time. We go from the gray area to extremes in the red and green areas.

I definatly know what thats like
Ive had a few falling outs with friends because of changes within the past year. So many extremes were crossed (ex-friends turned poser scene and started drama. DONOTWANT.)

Gah, I know exactly what you mean, even though I'm a sophomore.

This one kid that I used to be friends with started out like this is middleschool:

-6th; Nice, in choir, liked The Eagles and classic rock
-7th; Nice, in choir, liked The Eagles, classic rock, and rock
-8th; Kinda nice, in choir, doesn't care about grades, likes punk and metal. Starts wearing "darker" kinda clothes.

-9th; Really opinionated, in choir, doesn't care about grades, supa fat, death metal and screamo, skinny jeans, chains, etc.
-10th; Really opinionated, in choir, doesn't care about grades, supa supa fat, starts to really like punk and metal. Wears chains, dyes hair red, mohawk, skinny jeans, etc.

I can't stand the kid anymore. I used to pick on him in 5th grade, haha.

It happens. The people I hung out with for the bulk of high school, I didn't even know before high school except one. And my friends from middle school? I never saw them anymore. You just have to find a group that suits you better and has people you want to hang out with. The friends I made in my senior year especially, I still see now, years later, on breaks from college and such. Hopefully you'll be as lucky.
