..When people say that Brawl will suck if their favorite character doesn't make the cut.

Sakurai knows what he's doing, and he'll put in who he thinks will be necessary. I mean, I'll be sad if Marth/Roy don't get to be in it, but I know I'll still enjoy the game. Perhaps people (and I'm not just talking about this board specifically, I see it/hear it all over the place).

I'm not whining, I'm just disappointed that people aren't more open minded. Not every Nintendo character/3rd Party character is going to be able to be in it, which will inevitably tick off some people...but I say we just be prepared to try new things. ;D I'm sure the line up will be great, even if a few hoped-for characters don't make it.

(PS: I'm not saying it's not fun to guess and discuss who may and may not make it, it's just the people who bluntly state it'll be awful if, umm..say, a goomba wasn't playable. >_> Being realistic is nice, sometimes.)

I agree. This entire site is about listening to peoples ideas and either agreeing or dissagreeing with it. What is really annoying is when people dissagree and are jerks about it. We are all on the site because we love the game and the people who made it. They won us over in melee and im sure they will do it again.

I agree, I mean its not like every character out there can be in Brawl. The fact is like you said Sakurai does know what he is doing and will put the characters in the game that will best suit it. Looking at sites that list fan choices(over 60+ charracters you just know they wont all make the cut) because for 1 theres too many to be put in, and second who makes it is determined by other factors mainly, the most popular character to be put in(as with the character voting that went on in June on the Nintendo of Japan website) and characters he thinks are good.

People need to have some sense and know that onyl suited characters will be in the game and a select amount, and live with it. As you said be realistic is nice, if a goomba wasn't in the game and someone hates the game because of that, we have some problems don't we.

People basically just gotta have some sense with the characters. I for one will still enjoy the game for what it is and will hardly give a care for what characters make it.

Yay! Intelligenceeeee. I hope people will realise that Brawl will be awesome no matter whose in it. Sakurai is just that amazing. <3

EXACTLY. It's comforting to find reasonable opinions on here, just as I hoped for.

In the instance that, say, my main character from Melee (Marth, obviously. XD ) doesn't make it, I'd a little sad at first, but it will give me the opportunity to experience other characters and find another fandom, even.

Yup, I just want to fish out some people who are willing to form intellectual and ration thought, which seems to have worked. Unfortunately, people will still whine.

(Yeah..He upset me to an extreme. -_- )

I think the best example is when people actually make examples of stages they want. Its their own property, so it can never be used, but it shows people care about this game.

I'll probably never use these boards again when Brawl comes out (unless Ralph is in, in which case expect to see me dueling Ken in some far flung future lol).

Dont worry about it. At least we know were better and more mature than the people who have done that. It is realy frustrating when people do things like that. They are the only people who think it is funny. What that guy posted was disgusting and he needs to get a life. Sorry about the thread dude.
